I WILL say that I LOVE BAYSEAS!! The food is TOP-TIER without a doubt, BUT today my husband & I went for a late lunch. Literally STARVING in anticipation for a feast of amazing seafood! We get there, walk in, wait a minute or 2 before we were acknowledged. A Chola looking chick finally told us to sit anywhere. So we found a quiet little spot. We liked the decorations so we chatted for a few minutes. Then realized we were never greeted. Mind you, we were like about to collapse starving so I started to look around, spotted the same lady & she just rolled her eyes & kept doing what she was doing. We gave it a few more minutes until we just got up to leave. At which point she says “Sorry”….SOOO RUDE & her loss ultimately, because Ive been a fine dining server for over 10 years & Im a hefty tipper$$$$. I had my heart set on Gumbo!! Note to self: ORDER BAYSEAS TO GO/TAKE OUT

I have been wanting to eat here for a while. Tonight was our first time trying Bayseas. It did not disappoint. Patricia was our server and was very friendly and tentative during our entire experience. My husband ordered the lobster roll and Mac and cheese, the roll had a buttery crunch texture and the lobster was a delicate tender flakey filling. I ordered the catfish and shrimp basket that came with fries. It was a big portion that would be enough for 2 meals. The catfish was so delicious it was fried to perfection and seasoned well. The shrimp was just as flavorful, I dipped it in their tartar sauce, which might be homemade; the flavor and consistency was so creamy and paired well together. We also ordered a side of okra which also was served big portion size. We really wanted to try the calamari but forgot to order. We will order next time, since we just found our new seafood spot. Great job Bayseas on serving delicious seafood and providing excellent customer service.

Ordered a plate of chitterlings candied yams and collard greens. My plate had candied yams chitlins and white rice mixed with candy yams, never heard of such and The taste was less than I desired. This is the very first time I’ve been to this location and haven’t been completely satisfied, but someone needs to be aware the rice action was a thumbs down for me as far as this particular order goes. The food is otherwise delicious but this time they fail to meet the mark. Might take a minute or two before I return. But thanks for all the things that were delicious on the plate

First off this is your new catfish spot . You don’t know it yet but it is. The staff is so personable and professional. Felicity was our server and she was so sweet and pleasant to be a server. Secondly, the catfish was excellent. Well seasoned, battered and fried perfectly. I would definitely recommend for any reason at all. If make up a reason just to go . I will be a regular and you will too. Ty guys for an amazing meal !! See y’all next time

Seriously delicious, and the portions are satisfying. I felt like I actually got what I paid for and I haven’t felt that way about any restaurant in such a long time. The staff is kind and the ladies are sweet. Will definitely be returning and I might just make this my go-to spot after a day of fishing like today. Hit the spot like nothing else.

The cooks are the best in the city for all their meals served. The waitress ladies are professional polite n caring for what you need while enjoying your meal. As an U S Air Force Veteran me n my company are treated with the upmost respect. Have been eating there for lunch with friends n family for over 10 years. This use to be the best everyday now u have to be careful the cooks aren’t cooking everything to order I could tell my pork chop was not fresh it was salty fish has been okay shrimp is another item that they just have sitting my wife yams an cabbage over cooked yams were dark brown oxtails is supposed to go over rice but they mixed her rice with mash and put the oxtails on top with 2 much gravy, so I would just say either go when they open or make sure you state you want everything fresh poultry wise,we know the sides are premade an employee from the back told us any ways it use to be a 10 on ww now they all are at a 6.5 they no e though

Food is good. The atmosphere is good service tonight. 2:20 26 was horrible call in my order at 6:30 for pickup. They informed me 25 to 30 minutes. It is now 7:51 and I am just leaving the nacogdoches location with my food. There was no communication. Wyatt was taking so long. No offer of compensation for the over hour wait and I was not the only customer coming in and saying that they were giving a 25 or 30 minute wait. The lady that appeared to be in charge at the front was rather rude not only to us that l waiting but also to other staff in the kitchen. Staff didn’t seem to concerned.definitely not an enjoyable experience l

Was looking for somewhere nearby to where we were visiting and found this whole in the wall! Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover. The food is amazing and the staff is even better! We ordered the kids fish nugget (red bowl), catfish and shrimp platter, catfish platter, and a meatloaf plate! The plates were ginormous! You could definitely share.
