Always a pleasure to come to Bayless. The ladies there know how to welcome people. Food has always been great! Atmosphere reminds you of the 50’s & 60’s diners. Always will recommend this place! Try the fried pickles!

Was not good. We ordered whole catfish, shrimp (boiled) and iT was served with coleslaw. They ran out of coleslaw before we got some. Whole catfish was out. It was replaced with fillets. The food was not fresh and we voted over an hour to eat (frozen food). If it were fresh I would not be irritated, and they were not excessively busy. Hope you have a better visit than we did.

We are returning customers, specifically for the hamburger steak with onions and brown gravey and fries and gravey, butter peas and a hot yeast roll. It was very good, and the service was friendly and timely. We arrived while they were still serving the lunch specials but hey didn’t hesitate to prepare our specific request. Thanks Bayless folks!

Went here after church on Sunday. The food was good and was typical of a mom and pop meat and three restaurant. I got an apple turnover for dessert, and it was delicious.

I over heard the staff saying they didn’t have a cook right now but that they had some fill ins food wasn’t great I ordered fried oysters and several were raw on the inside the rest were nearly under cooked

Good home cooking and friendly service. Large potions for a reasonable price; however, the plates were literally running over with the food. Beware that the restrooms are not exactly handicapped friendly. Though exceptionally clean.

Wonderful family-style restaurant. I go here for lunch at least 3 times a month. The owner, Sue, is great. Try the fried chicken and coconut pie!
