The food was absolutely delicious, complemented by warm, attentive service that made us feel right at home. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, including thoughtfully crafted vegetarian options that didn’t compromise on flavor.

Lamb Phall, never had it, my go-to is vindaloo. Very nice spicy and that awesome blend of bold and delicate flavors together.

Chilli naan was probably some of the prettiest I’ve ever had and the texture was wonderful crunchy light and chewy but not too chewy.

Definitely have to go back for the buffet on the weekend I believe they said they have 20 plus dishes and it’s $18. I’m not an expert on Indian cuisine but this is delicious and seems like it’s not just Americanized. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and passionate.

This is another no-brainer win if you’re looking for Indian anywhere in Sarasota County I would drive there for it. It’s also quite a bit more affordable than some of the places up in Sarasota.

Vinay was the best server we could have hoped for! Genuinely kind to us and had good food recommendations! We ordered the samosa appetizer which was fantastic! My wife got the vegetarian korma and I ordered the chicken dish that is cooked in the clay oven. Delicious! The chicken Malai kabob. Garlic naan is a must always as well. Looking forward to returning for another delicious meal and service

Great place to have quality Indian food. We were there early on a Saturday evening and basically had the place to ourselves. Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The only thing I’d suggest is putting photos of the food on the menu to make it easier for those of us who are new to Indian food know what to order.

I recently visited Bayleaf restaurant after seeing their reviews and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the restaurant has a nice ambiance and a comfortable setting. The service was also prompt and courteous. However, the food was a bit underwhelming. While the presentation was good, the flavors were not as flavorful as I was expecting, and the portion sizes were small for the price. I tried Chilly baby corn, Malai kofta and veg biryani and not satisfied with any food except the starter. Overall, Bayleaf restaurant is an okay place to dine, but it may not be the best choice for a memorable dining experience.

Highly recommend. The food is SO good. Service is great. Staff is attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is clean with crisp cute decor.

A friend suggested trying this new restaurant for an outing… Naturally, I checked the reviews and only saw 12 total and was a little reluctant to venture out so bravely…. We are so glad that we did. The restaurant has only been open for 3 weeks. The food is so on point, and not only better than expected, but better than our currently frequented Indian eatery. We will be back for sure.

We tried multiple dishes, including the naan bread and tikka chicken (medium). Everything was plated beautifully and delicious. 5 stars all around. Reasonably priced.

Liquor license is still pending, wine or beer should be available within the next couple of weeks.

I just found out about this place and decided to try the weekend buffet. The price of $25 per person seemed reasonable for the variety of food available.

When I got my first plate there was no naan and had to wait for that. Some of the dishes were warm-ish, but tasty.

The seafood was fresh and well spiced. And the curries were delicious.

All in all, I had a good meal and will definitely be back to try a full meal.

Update August 2023:

Apparently they no longer have a regular lunch buffet. Be sure to call first to check if that’s what you’re expecting.

This restaurant just opened its doors not even three weeks ago. Wow! They have excellent food, great service, and it’s super clean. We also didn’t need a reservation for a group of four on a Thursday evening in season. A huge win! The decor inside is chic. Plenty of seating. Ample parking. I’m vegan and there are numerous vegan and vegetarian options, which made me very happy! My husband and our friends are not vegetarian and they had plenty of options to chose from. Everyone loved their meals. We ordered the samosas and masala papad to start. And I had the veggie coconut cream masala. My husband had the madras masala with paneer. If you love Indian food, I highly recommend checking out this new local restaurant. We will definitely be back. Super excited to have an amazing Indian restaurant in Osprey! I hope they flourish!

The food was good, but the Lamb Nihari was not prepared to my expectations; perhaps a photo or description on the menu would be helpful. All of my exposure to Nihari is that it is typically served as a brothy “stew” having a very savory sauce. This dish was very dry without any sauce, served more like an Indian version of a fajita. I liked the restaurant enough to try another dish and would tell friends that the restaurant is worth trying. The service was very good.
