Absolutely delicious seafood! The seafood bisque is amazinggggg and loaded with scallops, shrimp, and crab. Scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious but maybe cooked a tad too long. Fish and chips was good too! We ate outside over the water at night and it was beautiful.

We arrived as a fishing tournament was winding down. There was an outdoor auction held as we ate. Despite these events, we were able to park and be seated without waiting. Service by Mia was friendly, accurate, and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating was available – we sat outside with our eight- year old grandson, who was entertained by watching waterfowl and several boats as they passed. Swordfish, scallops, and shrimp were cooked to perfection and delectable. Coleslaw accompanied each dish.

Very lackluster. The calamari was disgusting and tasted like badly packaged frozen calamari. We also tried the lobster roll and very glad that we only shared instead of ordering a separate one for each as it was not impressive. The only part about the restaurant that was enjoyable was the view and being right on the pier.

We had the New England clam chowder and the seafood chowder. A bit of seafood in every spoon of both types.

Today, we went to Baxter, and I only have wonderful things to talk about. Starting with the impeccable service upon arrival, from Andrew, he is the best and super adorable. All the girls who served us were also super quick and kind, certainly an excellent staff. Regarding the food, we ordered fish & chips, lobster salad, calamari, fried oysters, etc… and everything was deliciously well prepared. The nautical atmosphere and the perfect weather just made a perfect day. I highly recommend it

Baxter’s is a typical waterfront fish spot. It has all the usual things you’d expect. I had the steamers. They were good, but nothing special. The service was good, but we were there for a post-Labor Day lunch, and it was not busy. The outdoor deck seating is nice, and it’s a nice place to hang out on a sunny day or evening.

So this was a great find after several people told me it was good. Right on the water with both indoor and outdoor seating. Harbor is busy between fishing and the ferry. Food was excellent and I had a few of the local drafts. Service was awesome-young kids working hard and they were polite and fast. Parking was also pretty good. Keep in mind this was the second week of June midweek so things may vary further into the season.
Would definitely come back. Kid friendly with great menu options for everyone-kids adults fish and non fish options.
