I’ve been in Reno for work for three weeks, trying different foods, and Bawarchi Indian Cuisine quickly became my favorite. I’ve eaten here multiple times, usually taking food to go, and every bite has been amazing. I’ve tried the Apollo fish, Thalapalattu biryani, goat biryani, Vijayaada chicken biryani, Chicken 555, and rose milk, and everything is full of authentic flavor. The spice can be adjusted to your liking, so everyone can enjoy it. The chef clearly knows their craft, and I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I’m in town.

Favorite Indian food in the Reno area – and I think we’ve tried them all. Lamb pepper masala was recommended by our waiter and it was fabulous! Masala tea was delicious as well.

Food was good! But I always have to ask for less oil or butter as everything is typically very greasy. However, with less oil it is great. We got 2 dry chicken appetizers which were good, and the quantity is fair. I got a paneer curry which was delicious! I went and washed my hands and was happy to see that the restrooms are clean and updated. The restaurant itself is clean and updated. The food came out quickly and they are efficient in serving. Overall, good dining experience and we will be back. I don’t have photos bc we ate allll the food!

A few weeks ago, my husband & I stopped by Bawarchi Indian Cuisine to scratch one off my “bucket list,” as though I have consumed much Indian food in my life, even having eaten it in India, dosas had somehow been left off.
We were seated into a comfortable booth & our drink orders taken. I got a large Indian beer & he, an iced tea.
We ordered much. I allowed the server to suggest a dosa. It came filled with a spiced potato mixture & accompanied by an incredible bowl of lentil & vegetable soup for dipping, as well as two chutneys. When he heard me tell my husband that I wasn’t sure how to approach eating it, he stopped back by & simply explained it.
We also got a lamb vindaloo, dal makhani, naan, & roti. It was the best dal makhani I have had outside New Delhi.
We had every intention of ordering dessert, but as they had to pack up half of what we ordered into the nicest togo containers, we were unable to. Everything was even better the next day, though we made sure to finish the crispy dosa at the restaurant!
The servers were very helpful, kind, & timely with their service.
I hope to be able to return soon.

I had a great experience dining at Bawarchi. The service was very efficient, and all the staff were extremely friendly. After taking my order, the food came out quickly and was fresh. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, which all tasted amazing. The restaurant was spotless. I would highly recommend Bawarchi to anyone who wants to try Indian food or already frequently eats it — you won’t be disappointed.
