I ordered the crispy corn, which is usually my go-to dish at BBQ Nation back home.. and honestly, this one has become my new favorite here. For the main course, I had Gobi 65 Fried Rice, and it was so good.
Overall, a great place to visit. If you’re looking for truly tasty Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit.
I regret ever ordering from this place. I ordered Chicken Lollipop, Veg Soup, and Chicken Soup. What did I get? Greasy fried wings passed off as “lollipop.” The Veg Soup was so disgusting I couldn’t even take a single sip. The Chicken Soup? Pathetic, below average at best.
To make things worse, when I called and even sent them photos to prove it, their response was absolutely horrible – no accountability, no apology, nothing. Completely unprofessional.
This was hands down one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and your stomach – Bawarchi is a total disaster.
Next order review:
1. Babai idli – loved it. The ghee and podi are added generously. And the idli is soft. The chutney is nice too.
2. Paneer tikka dosa – since it was a takeaway, the paneer tikka was served separately. The curry was quite flavorful. The best part of the dosa was the ginger chutney. I have not had alam (ginger) chutney outside of Hyderabad and to see it being served in Bentonville was such a pleasant surprise. Please continue serving it.
3. Buttermilk – I would like to believe it was by mistake that the “buttermilk” was nothing but water and curd. It had not a grain of salt, no cumin, no coriander leaves nothing at all. If this was intentional then this is not what buttermilk is.
At the end, we shared our experience with the person managing the counter and asked if they could offer a small discount considering the poor service. He said he would call the manager, and we waited for 10–15 minutes while he was on the phone. Eventually, he told us the manager said the biryani was “served fresh” and that nothing could be done.
We told him it wasn’t even biryani — it was basically pulao — and reminded him how unhappy we were with the service. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, he responded arrogantly and said it didn’t matter if we left a bad review. His exact attitude was that even if they gave a discount, we would still leave a bad rating — which wasn’t true. It wasn’t about the discount at all; we just wanted them to care about the customer experience.
The complete lack of accountability and the arrogance of the staff made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t even give them one star. Terrible customer service, zero professionalism, and absolutely no regard for guests. Would not recommend!!
