Service was the highlight. But food was not worth it. The focaccia was “fresh” but tasted stale? Tried a couple of batches to see if it was just the first batch. Nope. Avoid the cheese pizza it’s super intense and sharp tasting and way too thick of cheese (I love cheese but it was basically a griddled slab of cheese layers presumably with sauce and crust somewhere?) the pizza with prosciutto and basil was fine I guess, the sauce on the pizza was good at least. Nothing I would ever recommend or go back for. At the end they provide you with some chocolates so that is a nice touch. Value for quality of food? Not worth it. If you are out swimming at the pool in front and just want an (overpriced) pizza because you are hungry, then it’s fine. Just don’t have high expectations on quality. Not sure why reservations were required, it was pretty dead on a Friday night at 7p and they threw a little fit when we asked to sit off to the side instead of the dead center of the walking thoroughfare.

I got food poisoning from this restaurant. The food wasn’t bad, but it’s hard to give any praise when it put me out of commission the entire night and morning.

Amazing experience, the staff was so friendly. The waiter Eduardo was great! The good and service was on point. The woman chef came out she was lovely, she helped acomódate vegan dishes for us. All amazing we loved it! 5 star service next time we want to come back and try the pizza.

We are at many of the restaurants Sands, La Laguna, Feugo and they were all great for different reasons but our family had the BEST MEAL AND SERVICE AT BASSANO. Carlos took amazing care of us and the food was so good. They even did a small tequila tasting and education for our table which was impressive and fun. You really can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants in mayakoba but for us Bassano hit the spot for all the right reason. Only place we chose to eat from more than once.

Caprese salad had literally 2 slices of green tomatoes. The “guanchiale” in the carbonara was overcooked to a crisp. Pasta was decent. Service was very friendly and attentive. Others in my party were about 50/50 on their experience. The stuffed pardadelle apparently had a strange texture.
