My husband’s comments throughout the night included
-“How many stars can I give this place?”
-“I need to go to the bank real quick so I can give them all my money”
-“This has been the best dining experience I’ve ever had”
-“Why didn’t we come here for my birthday?”
And I must agree with him on everything!
10/5 ⭐️
What we had:
-elk carpaccio (WOW. SO good!)
-Pan roasted scallops
-8 oz Spinalis (best steak I’ve ever had in my 30 years of life)
-seafood Mac and cheese (cheesiest mac I ever did see)
-Cinnamon roll bread pudding
This is now our go to for all future special occasions. Thank you for the recommendation, Roswell!
ALSO it is so easy to park here. Much better than downtown locations where parking can become a nightmare
Side note: Watch out for the candles if you have long hair like me. I was close to catching my hair on fire a couple times walking through there
We started out with a carpachio, it was really good, delicious. Loved the little pickled pellets you’ll see in the photo.
Then, we moved on to the rabbit pot pie. Very good flavors. But a little too smoky, the smoke was so overbearing it took away from the rest of the dishes vegetables. The breading you’ll see in the photo was cooked perfect. The sauce was a little on the peppery side, black pepper, a little less black pepper, a little less smoke and it would be perfect.
Next was the Caesar salad O. M. G I was so happy to see white anchovies. That’s what Caesar is supposed to actually be made of. Unfortunately, in the United States, you mostly see the Brown ones that are very salty and they have the little bony pieces in them, that’s why most people don’t like it. The white ones are delicious if you’ve never had one give them a try, this salad was the best part of my dinner.
Moving on to our main course, we shared the bone in ribeye, 20 oz. Basically, the cowboy cooked perfect. We asked for medium-rare plus they nailed it. Great job there. Good flavors on the meat itself as well.
For our side, we had cream spinach. This is where it just fell apart. I don’t think the spinach is fresh actually. I think it’s frozen. We both felt that way, that’s a big x, but then they use cheap bagged parmesan. Look at the photo that’s not fresh grated. What an insult to everything else in that restaurant being so high level to just go cheap on cream spinach. I would burn that recipe and start over with fresh ingredients. We had to send it back because it was too salty. The salt in the cheese was overwhelming add to that the salt that was probably cooked into the dish. In today’s high salty foods, need to be careful with salt.
Our server was great. I would say she’s a server slash bartender, and I had my doubts that she’d be able to cover the tables as well as her bar duties. But she nailed it, she was hustling, very polite, very nice and friendly, enjoyed her and thank her for her great service.
Our dessert was delicious, really good. I love the ice cream. I don’t know where that came from, but it’s good.
Would I come here again? Probably not. There are so many great steak places in and around Roswell and Alpharetta that are better, quite frankly. Maybe I’ll just come get some white anchovies.
My guest and I sat at the bar and were lucky to have Eva as our bartender. From the moment we arrived, she was a true professional—warm, attentive, and absolutely on point with our drinks. She not only crafted the perfect cocktails but also made sure every detail of our dining experience was flawless. When my steak initially came out less rare than I prefer, Eva noticed my expression before I even said a word and immediately stepped in. “I can fix this,” she said confidently, and within moments, the manager Steve was at our side reassuring me that they would make it right.
And they did—flawlessly. The steak was returned just how I like it: succulent, moist, and bursting with flavor.
The food overall—from the crisp, fresh salad to the beautifully cooked steak, and the standout Pink Panther cocktail—was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is intimate and stylish, evoking the charm of an old-school speakeasy that I genuinely appreciate.
While the food alone is worth raving about, the exceptional service from Eva and Steve truly elevated the entire evening. They are a dream team—professional, personable, and committed to excellence. Because of them, I will absolutely be back.
Update!!!!-We had the bone marrow and lobster morsels for the first time. The bone marrow was succulent, and even better with the toast points. We tried the lobster morsels and they came with a honey mustard and warm butter. They were tender and the basket was full. But I must admit that the chocolate flour less cake with the cherry compote was the perfect ending to the meal. You must try it all.
Absolutely worth it
From the moment we pulled up to the gorgeous shared entrance with its sister spot, From the Earth Brewery, the vibe was already a win. We were greeted right away by the manager and host. Sure, our table was near the door (not ideal), but we forgot all about that the second Jessica came on the scene. Y’all—Jessica is a rockstar. Warm, bubbly, all smiles, and full of perfect recommendations. Even when she wasn’t 100% sure about something, she went to find out—then came back with answers and a mezcal bottle in hand so I could snap a pic. Who does that?! Legends, that’s who.
Now… the food. THE. FOOD.
If you skip everything else I say, do NOT skip the yeast rolls. I don’t know what magical sorcery is baked into those things, but it’s some of the best bread I’ve ever had—period.
We kicked things off with grilled and fried lobster bites (because why choose?), a crab cake, and, yes, those rolls. Then came the main event: a trio of steaks, each more mouthwatering than the last. I went for the 16 oz wagyu ribeye—flavor bomb, even without the garlic herb butter. For sides, we shared broccolini, a French-style Hasselback potato, and the ultra-decadent seafood mac and cheese. A quick heads-up: that mac is dangerously cheesy—like, lactose-intolerant folks, proceed with caution (but also… worth it). We were so full, we had no room for dessert. The next time, we will pack an extra tummy.
Bottom line: Make your next reservation at Bask Steakhouse. Trust the hype this time. Tell them Byanka sent you and definitely, absolutely, without question—ask for Jessica.
Our waiter, Roman, was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu and the service he provided. He made sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
We ordered the steak and short rib which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The yeast rolls were absolutely delicious, warm, and freshly baked, adding a wonderful touch to the meal. Lastly the seafood mac cheese was delicious and hearty.
The ambiance of Bask is both cozy and upscale, making it a perfect spot for a special night out. I highly recommend Bask Steakhouse for anyone looking for excellent food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
