If you’re going to Basil’s, go for one reason: the chicken. The atmosphere is pretty basic, nothing fancy or memorable, but it gets the job done if you’re just looking for a good meal.
Menu prices are fair, and portions are straightforward. With the two-piece, you’ll get a thigh and a leg; the three-piece adds a wing. The sides? They’re okay. Tasty enough, but clearly not the star of the show. You’ll get maybe a couple ounces, so don’t come expecting a full Southern spread.
Now back to that chicken…this is where Basil’s shines. The grilled flavor is authentic and absolutely delicious. Skip the barbecue sauce…it actually takes away from the flavor instead of adding to it. Trust what they’re doing with the seasoning and grilling. You won’t regret it.
All in all, if you’re craving some solid grilled chicken, Basil’s is worth a stop. Just don’t expect atmosphere or gourmet sides. It’s all about that perfectly seasoned chicken.

We were looking for something a little more healthier so we thought we’d give Basil’s a try so we came in and ate inside.
I had the chicken breast which was good the only thing I would say is the utensils are plastic and very hard to cut a chicken breast with.
I’m not knocking it for them keeping costs down with plastic utensils you just may want to take out only for the chicken.
I had mashed potatoes with gravy I will say it was lukewarm and not completely hot but still very good.
My wife had the chicken wrap and she enjoyed it with her side of green beans.
I had a great conversation with the owner who said that his grandfather started the business years and years ago.
You can tell how well liked this places is by the amount of food they have on the open flame broil …see pictures.
A lot of people coming in for takeout which I’m sure is a big part of their business.
The place is immaculately clean. A lot of Pride goes into this place you can tell.
I also used the washroom and it was spotless.
I for sure want to come back and try some other things on the menu like the barbecued ribs looked really good.
I definitely recommend this place come on down and support this local business

My wife and me went to this location a few weeks ago. We don’t go much but the chicken has been great in the past but not the last couple of visits. When we visited this location, it started with the girls up front. No enthusiasm, almost seemed like we were bothering them to order food from their establishment. After ordering we got out food and the chicken was not great. Tasted dry and the Mac and cheese was not to be desired. The final insult was I was going to get some sweet tea and they were out. I asked the manager if there was more and he said they were out and didn’t want to make more because they would have to throw it away if it wasn’t dranked. I’m like fine whatever, but my whole time he was chatting with customers. No problem people talk to customers when they work all the time, but he seemed more interested in talking than working. Just didn’t seem to care about people that wanted to pay to have good food and service. And the worst thing is a lot of restaurants have become like this. Employees don’t care about what they serve and how their customers feel. That fine I can stay home and cook. I’m starting to find out I’m not a bad cook after all.

We ordered delivery..first off I ordered a 4 piece chicken dinner and received a 3. The chicken was good although the sides seemed to have been way over cooked almost mushy. My wife’s wrap was basically the same tated good but the wrap itself was soggy. Fist time eating here..not impressed..

Main Question:
Is the food worth the money?
Yes, there wasn’t anything bad about the taste of this food.
Cleanliness:
The place was kept very clean, even the bathrooms. Thank you for that. I did not get pictures of the bathrooms.
Service:
There really isn’t any service here. You go up to the counter and order your food and then you pick up the food and sit down. Almost like a cafeteria at a school. So I cannot judge on something that is not there. The people behind the counter were nice.
Food:
We ordered two Gyro wraps, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes.
I see the other reviews saying that the portions were small. While I can agree, I am going to point out that the portions were good enough that I felt satisfied when I left the place. I did feel like I was going to be hungry about an hour later, however. It is an hour later and I am hungry again.
I will say, the food that was served was only lukewarm. We picked up our food immediately upon being called, and it was not hot by any means of the term. Even the chicken soup, while it was the hottest thing on the plate, was not hot. It was okay temperature.
The mashed potatoes were not hot and borderline room temperature.
The Gyros were cold because of the lettuce but that lettuce was crisp, very good tasting, not wilted, and very much appreciated so I don’t mind that so much. I probably will not order the wrap again because the lettuce was pulled out of the chiller and makes the meat cold. I will order the sandwich that comes on a pita next time.
The macaroni and cheese was borderline room temperature.
This is what brings me to four stars for this place.
Presentation:
For the type of restaurant that this is, this is got to be one of the better presentations I have seen. I mean, that food came out looking so beautiful. It had the perfect amount of gravy on the mashed potatoes. While the mashed potato portion was really tiny, it looked so beautiful. The macaroni and cheese came out and looked amazing and the gyro wraps were gorgeous looking and you could tell a lot of time went into preparing those. Thank you for such a beautiful presentation. If a review was all about presentation, this would be five stars.
Pricing:
I’ve got to hit home on this one. I disagree with the other reviews that say the portions weren’t worth the price. I think they are spot on for what I received for the price they charged. I have paid a lot more for a lot less at restaurants. I want to thank them for keeping their prices competitive.
Recommended:
Yes, I would recommend coming here. Just keep in mind that the food does not come out hot. It comes out room temperature. It is not bad food by any means. I would not say it’s the best Greek food I’ve ever had but it most certainly is not the worst. It is right on par with what I’d expect for the pricing I paid.

We had a good experience ordering take out from Basil’s. They are known for their chicken, so of course, that’s what we ordered. We ended up getting a salad and a pita chicken wrap. The chicken was great, well-seasoned and flavorful, and the mac n cheese side that we ordered was good too. The salad portion was generous, although the wrap was a bit smaller than expected. Menu prices are still fair and reasonable though. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations. They do have several gluten-free options if that’s what you’re also looking for. In terms of the place itself, the atmosphere is pretty basic, but they have plenty of seating if you’re looking to eat in for a good meal. Overall, this was a great place for a quick order-at-the-counter meal, and we would recommend for anyone looking for great chicken!

We have been going to Basil’s for years. Tonight, we rushed to get there before the 8pm Sunday closing.
We walked up to the doors at 7:45 and they were already locked WITH people still inside eating. Setting aside the fact that this was rude, unprofessional, and that we had hurried to get there and were very hungry it is also violates NFPP and OSHA regulations for a restaurant to lock the front door with customers still inside due to multiple safety concerns which are commonly known.
We are very disappointed on multiple levels.
We will no longer be eating there after many years of doing so.
Not professional. We expected better. Especially with the Owner/Manager there behind the counter shaking his head no to letting us in.
UPDATE:
This was the response from my review from the owner/manager:
“When you came to the door you pushed the door you’re supposed to pull it. That’s why you thought it was locked. It says on the door pull”
My response to him….
THEN IF THAT IS THE CASE AND YOU SAW THIS WHY DIDNN’T YOU COME AND OPEN THE DOOR AND WELCOME US IN AND EXPLAIN THAT???? That would have been the PROFESSIONAL, kind, and courteous thing to do for CUSTOMERS!!!!

It’s awesome always fresh, always delicious family owned and operated. What more do you need. I almost look forward to getting sick so I can get their delicious homemade chicken and rice soup and begin to feel it work. Love their wraps. Any of them! Definitely worth checking out!
