Had dinner with my sister on a weeknight.
It is located in an unassuming spot and has a low key but clean interior. They brought some flatbread and condiments which were very tasty. We ordered Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer and Pakoras. They were both crispy, hot and good. The Gobi has some heat which I enjoyed but we stressed no spice for my sister , she could not eat it. The kind server brought sis a Mango Lassi to help calm the spices but she fave up.
Palak Paneer was good but the rice seemed old or reheated. Sis had Pad See Ew, she enjoyed it …I felt it was too salty. Last we got the Eggplant Holy Basil. Too salty and literally 4 or 5 pieces of eggplant, the rest was onions and peppers.
All in all I think they do the Indian food the best. Leave it at that.

I kept seeing so many good reviews about this place, so I finally went with a friend to try it. They serve Indian, Chinese, and Thai food, so there are lots of choices. It’s not a very big restaurant, but there’s a good amount of space to enjoy with family or friends, and the service was good.

They don’t have cocktails or mocktails, but we got Thai tea and it was really nice, creamy with a little spice. They also brought complimentary papad with chutneys, which was a lovely touch.

We ordered drunken noodles with chicken and vegetable lo mein. The portions were great, everything tasted amazing, and I liked that they asked how spicy we wanted it.

I would definitely go back 🙂

Got the Mo mo, chicken vindaloo and the garlic Naan. They bring out a little sampler of sauces (one was a refreshing mint and another was tamarind I think) all of which were very yummy. The mo mo were my favorite with a yummy spice palette with a light spicy kick. For the entrees they ask for the spice level and I ended up going with 7 which I find to generally be a happy medium between risking being too spicy and not spicy at all.

So glad Basil n Spice opened close to our house. We had the steamed mo-mo, tikka masala, saag, and naan. It was perfect. Spicy as we wanted. Full of flavor. Thoughtful service. !!!

Love it!
My grandparents got the General Tso’s (spice level 3) with some spring rolls, and I got the tikka masala (4). Waiters were prompt, polite, and extremely speedy. Will absolutely be back!

Update on their takeout: Wonderful, prompt service. Every employee is pleasant as can be. Portions are generous, packaged well, and delightful. Don’t be scared to up the spice higher than me and my level 6! It’s worth it.

Great food and wonderful staff. The menu has many vegetarian options. They do not serve beef. They have chicken, shrimp and goat. I had the Drunken Noodles chicken which was very good in a large portion that I took home. My husband had the Orange Chicken which was delicious with actual pieces of orange segments. The food tasted like it was individually prepared with care. Aryan was our host and he was lovely. Definitely recommend this establishment.

OMG I checked this place out cause I was visiting a friend nearby and was hungry; the food was delicious! My tandoori chicken was actually a whole smoking skillet, and so tasty! I thought I accidentally got a wrong menu item because it just can’t be almost the whole chicken at a regular price; well it can! Also I’ve noticed they have a lot of vegetarian options.

What. A. Feast! This place just opened (3/19/25) and they are off to a strong start. Offering a blend of Indian, Thai, and Chinese food (and some Nepali secret menu options) I had the opportunity to try quite a few dishes. The Chili Mo Mo was a first for me and it might be my new favorite. The mango lassi was rich and thick and the butter chicken was among the best I’ve had. Despite ordering a 5/10 spicy it felt a little underpowered. The seasoning though was wonderful. Aryan was one of the most attentive servers I’ve had (although it might be because I was the only customer). The atmosphere only gets a 3 though, only due to a lack of decoration, but I can easily see it coming up to a 5 as well in the near future. The prices were very reasonable with an average (back of napkin math) of about $15-$20. Overall, I would gladly eat here again and I will tell my neighbors to come check out Basil and Spice.

Next day lunch update. Still delicious! Baked the Naan at 350 for 7 minutes and it was just like new. The Chili Mo Mo still wonderful and the butter chicken amazing.

Update: Unfortunately, I had to remove a star from my review. Since dining in several weeks ago and enjoying every bite of our food, we’ve ordered pick up 3 times already; and every time we order the same 3 dishes , it always tastes different! One time, food was very salty, no spice at all for level 4, then suddenly, there were nuts in butter chicken, then today my salmon tikka was bland & watered down. I really wish they would be consistent.

This new restaurant is a gem! We enjoyed all the food we ordered. Delicious! Delicious!! The service was a bit lackluster but understandable as they were overwhelmed with many to go orders (which is a good sign) They’re still trying to figure things out and the restaurant was also packed with customers. Overall, we would definitely be back.

We ordered steamed momos which was hands down one of the best we’ve tried in this area! I also enjoyed the freshness of Hawaiian ginger and pineapple chicken… the flavor of fresh ginger while I was taking a bite, tanginess of pineapple and perfect balance of sauces make the dish worth-trying …. We also took Balti chicken and naan bread, which was little off spice-wise to us! And guess what!! They didn’t charge us for that!!!! They randomly came and asked about the food (I guess, he was the owner!?) , and we spontaneously shared our thoughts on the dishes we tried that day… we mentioned that we really liked momos and hawaiian chicken, but we found the spice-palette of balti chicken a little off… and they didn’t charge us at all for the balti chicken, which is very very rare in the US! took me a while but when I finally realized that I paid way less that what I actually should’ve paid, I went back and insisted for making the additional payment… but he didn’t take it, he said “next time!” …. Really rare and nice gesture! We’ll go again soon.. have to try that momos soon
