I definitely recommend to order phoenix rolls.
The service is also good, they ask about the food and beverages often.
i definitely come again when i come to Boston again!!
First came the Basho Bowl, and honestly, it’s the kind of dish you want to hug the chef for. A snowdrift of warm, perfectly seasoned sushi rice cradles a vibrant dice of salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and scallop—each piece glistening, each flavor distinct yet singing in harmony. A drizzle of citrusy ponzu and a scattering of scallions and tobiko added pops of brightness and crunch. I mixed in a dab of wasabi, took a sip of the fragrant green tea (steaming, grassy, just-bitter-enough), and felt every stress of the day melt away.
The Nookie roll arrived like a little edible firework—crisp tempura shrimp tucked inside, draped with silky tuna and a whisper of spicy mayo that tingles rather than scorches. One bite and I forgot I was in New England; it was pure, playful umami.
Service, Joseph, was incredible!! It was warm but never hovering, the room sleek yet cozy, and the prices felt fair for the quality. Basho isn’t trying to be the flashiest sushi bar in town—it’s simply one of the most satisfying. I’m already plotting my return.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
The food was the real star.
