I travel for work and I have been consistently coming back to this restaurant. Every time I’ve come (about 7 times the past two months) the vibes have been immaculate!! I’ve mostly sat at the bar and the entire team is awesome. Garrett especially is such a rockstar! So warm, friendly and easy to talk to all while giving exceptional service. The food & drinks are top notch, the atmosphere is always so inviting, warm and comfortable. All of the team members are so kind. Bartaco Chapel Hill has made me feel like I have a community while I’ve been traveling for work! Love it here!!

I always enjoy going to bartaco. Their tacos are always fresh, flavorful, and perfect for mixing and matching different options. I love pairing them with one of their mojitos — so refreshing and the perfect complement to the food. They even have Mexican bottled Coke, which just makes the experience that much better. The vibe is relaxed and fun, making it a great spot to hang out, enjoy amazing tacos, and grab a drink.

Our daughter is in the nearby UNC Hospital and we were so happy to find BarTaco. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a great place, and would take our minds off of the hospital, even for a brief bit.
The food and drinks were fantastic and Thomas was SUPER helpful and accommodating in making suggestions to us first-timers. We were so pleased with our dinner a few nights ago, that we brought our step mom/M.I.L. (visiting) for dinner tonight.
Although we LOVED The pork belly tacos (among other things) a few days ago, we forced ourselves to try a bunch of other stuff that we didn’t previously eat… the verdict.. can’t find ANYTHING that we didn’t like. From the cucumber salad, the street corn, the rice bowls, any of the tacos… it’s all delicious and fresh from their scratch kitchen.
Seriously, this has been our favorite place to eat during the last 3 weeks that we’ve been in Chapel Hill and you can’t go wrong with anything you try. Do yourself a favor and go there… you will not regret it!

This place is first class. I have throat cancer and eating has been a challenge. They did everything possible to help me find something to eat and accommodate me in every way. The manager was the nicest man you will ever meet. Our waitress Piper was very attentive and sympathetic of my situation. She was an awesome young lady as well as being a great waitress. Thank you BARTACO for making a difficult situation better.

We had a variety of street tacos – pork belly, shrimp, baja fish, ribeye, and roasted duck. We also shared a side of guacamole and esquites(street corn). Spicy and tangy dinner!! The special cocktail was very good too.

This place is awesome! My family and I were coming back home late and most places had closed. We called to check and this place welcomed us with open arms.
We didn’t feel rushed at all. Quite the opposite. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and it made the vibe feel so much better. The music was bangin and the lighting was on point.
The salsas are an absolute “must try” here. This place cares about their sauces. High standards here and that’s why I’m giving them high praise. Well done yall.

My girls and I were thrilled when we found Bartaco here. We had been to one in FL and it was great. This one here is just as awesome. The food, people, and vibe have had us come back 3 more times since we found it. Last Sunday we brought my son and his wife. Great cocktails as well. The staff is awesome and attentive. I can’t wait to go back!!!!
