This is a hidden gem in this world of chain restaurants. Excellent food, friendly wait staff and authentic home cooked cuisine, not to mention the pleasant ambience of a house built in 1823. Full menu. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I particularly like the Cajun Blackened Chicken. Spicer than any chain will give you, but not super hot…just right. I cannot recommend this dining choice highly enough. Just excellent.

Although the Barstow bread and every thing else we ordered was delicious the salmon was not so delicious and could not eat it. The waiter made up for it by giving us a free slice of cheesecake.

Always my valentine’s go to, most authentic in an well maintain antiquated dining area. Food is gourmet and top level. I like the peppercorn steak, the filet mignon doesn’t hardly need any chewing. Staff is very nice. Call ahead for reservations a month or so in advance for valentine’s day

The food was all over cooked, vegetables were mush and we were charged for the dressing that comes on the side salad. The pasta portion was very small and nothing was seasoned. Very disappointed for the price tag

Well worth the drive if you’re from out of town. The food is tremendous. Reservations are recommended, everything is made fresh so they can only accommodate so many patrons at a time while still ensuring timely service.

The meal I had here was hands down the worst meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Despite having only one table in the restaurant, the wait staff (there were two) was rude about me ordering. When I went to the kitchen to mention the order, the door was open and I could hear them complaining about making it. I made no special requests and ordered right off the menu and it was not a complicated dish. The pasta was cold and had virtually no flavor. It was given to me at room temperature. I figured it would take a while to make, but after a long time, once I received it, I realized it had just been sitting there. Thw waitresses had only one table and nobody could give me my food hot. While the food sat there in the bag, they left the salad with it. As the food cooled down, the salad turned to mush. Plus, bread with no butter! It was actually so bad that I didn’t even care what it cost, I just threw it out. I went to the gas station down the road and got a sandwich that was actually edible. I highly suggest you save your time, energy and money and avoid this place.
