The Barro’s Pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro who came from Italy in the 1930’s, providing a pizza unlike any other. People may disagree on whether it’s the thick crust with its light, flakey texture, which almost melts in your mouth, or the wonderful spiced sauce that is the secret of this great tasting pizza. Barro’s Pizza also provides wings, salads, sandwiches, pastas, gluten-free pizza options, dessert, beer and wine.
Regional chain serving thick- & thin-crust pies, wings & sandwiches in a simple setting.

The food is good and I recommend this to all my family and friends as a family friendly location. And thankfully a large Ploice presence from our boys in blue, the Marana Police Department, you’ll see uniforms for lunch breaks all the time.
Defiantly a safe place for the family.
There has been a specific pizza place I loved growing up in Cali that upon moving to Arizona, I couldn’t fill…. and please don’t you dare tell me. Peter Piper’s….. that place is a joke..
But this place, Barros, is pretty close, able to fill my pizza cravings and spaghetti needs.. they also have wings and salads, of course, and even serve some good beers for those who enjoy a good swig with their pizza. The place is decently sized, and the staff is usually pretty nice and quick to make sure you’re taken care of.
The only thing that would make this place more complete to fit my perfect pizza place is an open salad bar! That would be icing on the cake.. but I give this place a 5 star because it’s normally clean. The staff is friendly, and the food tastes well, and it’s the only place I enjoyed so far that comes close to home for me.. Almost.. but if you haven’t tried it, I definitely would recommend this place for sure!! They have 2 locations here in Tucson.. there are both great! So try it out let me know your opinion ^_^
First off, this was the first time I went to the location. We sat down, not realizing that you have to order from a counter that is not easily visible from the entrance. They need better signage.
Ordering was easy. the attendant was friendly. However, the couple we came with their attendant was rushed and had the personality of a napkin.
I ordered a pizza with extra sauce, and our friends ordered a regular. They must not know pizza sauce needs to taste and look like a tomato base. I’ve had a frozen pizza that had better flavor than what we were both served. One more food item, the sausage is spicy for my wife. Most Chicago style pizzas have sweet or will offer both types to choose from. (See the picture attached.)
We went back to get a couple of to go boxes. It felt like it was an imposition to ask. Not very friendly service.
I will admit the server who brought or food to the table was the only one that smiled and was friendly.
