Social Profile:

The Barro’s Pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro who came from Italy in the 1930’s, providing a pizza unlike any other. People may disagree on whether it’s the thick crust with its light, flakey texture, which almost melts in your mouth, or the wonderful spiced sauce that is the secret of this great tasting pizza. Barro’s Pizza also provides wings, salads, sandwiches, pastas, gluten-free pizza options, dessert, beer and wine.

Regional chain serving thick- & thin-crust pies, wings & sandwiches in a simple setting.

We go to Barro’s Pizza often in the greater Phoenix area but this was thr first time at this location in Marana. Very nice! Busy! We usually order the pizza, wings & ravioli with meatballs & a soda but this time I also had a glass of wine.

I’ve been, a customer of Barro’s for a few years now. And this Cortaro location is amazing the service is good and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and the location, is great right next to the movie theater now.

The food is good and I recommend this to all my family and friends as a family friendly location. And thankfully a large Ploice presence from our boys in blue, the Marana Police Department, you’ll see uniforms for lunch breaks all the time.

Defiantly a safe place for the family.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. With plenty of toppings. You don’t even have to order extra cheese because they give you enough. The traditional chicken wings are also outstanding. I’ve had both medium and hot, and both are great. I will say hot is actually pretty hot, and then they still have a fire option as well. The traditional wings have a good amount of meat on them and great flavor. The current staff is very friendly, and accommodating. Will definitely be dining here, and doing takeout, again.

I liked this place, but they will only let you have 2 glasses of wine per Tyler as per his vendor requirements…although I saw a family of 8 had 3 or more quarts of beer for each man at the table…weird rules Tyler for elderly folks but men that were driving their family are exempt? By the way we dont drink and drive and have a designated driver….

I love their pizza and get it 2-3 times a month. I had to fly to East Coast and wanted a sub for the trip. I’m very disappointed. If my experience was based only on the sub this would be a one star review. I’m posting picture of the sub on their menu verses what I got. There was maybe a tablespoon of cheese skimpy on the meat and other fillings. I thought it would be like menu pic and I wouldn’t have to go out to eat at Atlanta airport. I have to now since it was very skimpy and over priced at $13. I hope the manager will see this review and make it right for me and others.

So it’s time to finally leave a review. I have been here about 4 times now and so far have never been let down as far as the quality of the food they make here… yes, it’s mainly pizza. If you can’t tell.. but I am not originally from Arizona. I used to live in California…

There has been a specific pizza place I loved growing up in Cali that upon moving to Arizona, I couldn’t fill…. and please don’t you dare tell me. Peter Piper’s….. that place is a joke..

But this place, Barros, is pretty close, able to fill my pizza cravings and spaghetti needs.. they also have wings and salads, of course, and even serve some good beers for those who enjoy a good swig with their pizza. The place is decently sized, and the staff is usually pretty nice and quick to make sure you’re taken care of.

The only thing that would make this place more complete to fit my perfect pizza place is an open salad bar! That would be icing on the cake.. but I give this place a 5 star because it’s normally clean. The staff is friendly, and the food tastes well, and it’s the only place I enjoyed so far that comes close to home for me.. Almost.. but if you haven’t tried it, I definitely would recommend this place for sure!! They have 2 locations here in Tucson.. there are both great! So try it out let me know your opinion ^_^

No shortage of toppings. Ordered 2 pizzas both made correct. Mega meat and Barros special and added black olives. Flavor was decent. I prefer this compared to other pizza restaurants. Paid 55.00 for these. I would do it again.

This is NOT Chicago-style pizza.
First off, this was the first time I went to the location. We sat down, not realizing that you have to order from a counter that is not easily visible from the entrance. They need better signage.
Ordering was easy. the attendant was friendly. However, the couple we came with their attendant was rushed and had the personality of a napkin.
I ordered a pizza with extra sauce, and our friends ordered a regular. They must not know pizza sauce needs to taste and look like a tomato base. I’ve had a frozen pizza that had better flavor than what we were both served. One more food item, the sausage is spicy for my wife. Most Chicago style pizzas have sweet or will offer both types to choose from. (See the picture attached.)
We went back to get a couple of to go boxes. It felt like it was an imposition to ask. Not very friendly service.
I will admit the server who brought or food to the table was the only one that smiled and was friendly.
