Walking into Barro’s Pizza, I wasn’t immediately impressed. The ambiance, the setup—nothing really stood out. But then, I took a bite of the pizza.
And that’s what saved this place.

Just went in this evening to pick up some pizzas for my family for dinner. Upon eating the first slice taken out of box, I noticed when I set the slice down on a paper towel there was a huge long black hair baked under the chesse. Inspected the box where slice was taken from and sure enough more hair baked under cheese sticking out. It was drapped up in corner of box. Will never be back here! Absolutely disgusting please look into hairnets for your employees. One would think these would be mandatory working in the food industry, but I guess not. What a waste of $40 as it all went in trash since everyone was grossed out….. Also took a look at the reviews and I found one from two years ago with the same issue I had. Cleary this place has low standards and does not care!

This location is great. I don’t know if the manager, Sunny (sorry for possible misspelling) is new, and she’s whipped these kids into shape, lol, but I feel like customer service has improved. This location has improved in many ways recently and I really appreciate how she handled a minor issue with my order (come on people, it’s gonna happen no matter where you go). She was soooo courteous, down to earth, and accommodating that she re-gained my faith in this Barro’s location. Thank’s Sunny

We just moved from the Glendale area to Surprise and have eaten at many different Barros before and this food was the greasiest we have had. They weren’t busy and when I asked the girl that got our food together if I could have a separate bag for our ranch because I didn’t want it mixed with a marinara because the marinara was hot she got annoyed.

Great pizza and surprisingly fast delivery (arrived in 25 minutes when I was initially told an hour.) Got the meat lover’s, hot wings, and meatballs covered with cheese and marinara all which were good.
Presentation wise, food all looked superb, especially for your standard Pizza franchise. Everything looked appetizing and didn’t disappoint.
Overall I’d be willing to try Barro’s again.

Barro’s has been a favorite pizza staple to get away from places like Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. They have good pizza and wings and cheesey bread. I can eat here with a big party or just taking home an order for the family.

I ordered a vegetarian thin crust pizza, well done, and what I received was the exact opposite — floppy, undercooked, and not at all what I asked for. This is the second time this has happened, and it’s incredibly frustrating.
At this point, I’m not sure if the staff doesn’t understand what “well done” means, or if I need to start saying extra crispy just to get a properly cooked pizza. Either way, it shouldn’t be this difficult.
I gave this place a second chance, hoping it was just a one-time mistake, but clearly nothing has changed. It feels disrespectful as a customer to be so specific with an order and still be ignored. I won’t be ordering here again.
