The Barro’s Pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro who came from Italy in the 1930’s, providing a pizza unlike any other. As a fan of Barro’s pizza, it’s difficult for me to write this review. However, no joke, over 50% of the time I leave this location (Copper Basin) and consider not returning. Usually I’m just frustrated because my to go order is late… sometimes over 30 mins late. Tonight, the pizza had folded over on itself in the box. Granted, the employee giving it to me offered to have it remade… but said “I just don’t know how long it’s going to take.” It’s 8pm and I’ve got kids in the car. I can’t wait who knows how long. Individually, these incidents are not that big of a deal, but collectively it’s annoying how often it’s something with the service or pizza that makes me consider not returning. I probably wouldn’t if there was another Barro’s even remotely close by. Pizza is good though.

I bought 2 large pizzas, 48 wings, and a cookie for my familys dinner tonight. I placed my order at 5pm and on the receipt it said time promised would be 6:15pm. We didn’t get any updates/calls letting us know our pizza would be late. We didn’t get it until 6:45pm. The food was cold so it doesn’t have that fresh taste we usually get. The delivery man didn’t even apologize or let us know why he was running behind. When we called twice they didn’t give us an update either besides letting us know the driver was 1 minute away but he was actually 25 minutes away. The customer service was not how it usually is, very disappointed.

I placed a simple carryout order—just one pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks. The pizza was fine, but when I got home, the mozzarella sticks box had wings instead. I called the restaurant and was told they’d deliver the mozzarella sticks to make up for the mistake, but nobody ever showed up. Completely ridiculous.

Bought 3 x large pizzas and asked for extra cheese on all 3 and extra mushrooms. Didn’t get any extra of anything.. 4 bucks for extra mushrooms and 6 bucks for extra cheese on 3 pizzas. So wasted 10 bucks. Then they give me 3 containers of raw mushrooms that I have to cook when I get home. One pizza wasn’t even cut and the pineapple pizza wasn’t even fully cooked….Waited 50 minutes for this….

Update….they screwed up on our order and brought us wrong pizza, instead of letting us finish pizza we already started they actually took pizza away and made us wait for new pizza!! Are they

UPDATE April 2025. We’re back. Ordered delivery. A build your own 12 inch pizza, garlic bread and a Caesar salad. Friendly delivery driver. Barro’s food is still top notch. Few restaurants deliver these days. Most use fee services. Not Barro’s. They still deliver for a small charge. Barro’s is wallet friendly and affordable. I’ve added a few new photos.
UPDATE OCT 2022. STILL a solid 5 stars. Impressive menu. Ordered delivery. A Caesar salad, an Italian salad with deli meats, and an order of ravioli with meatballs. Dang. great flavors. Salads were cold and crisp. HUGE portions. Could have easily shared one salad so we had “free lunch” today. Fast delivery. Friendly delivery staff. A very good experience. New photos added. Check out the huge slices of parm on the Caesar. Really good attention to detail and quality.
Update Oct 2021. Arrived in town Sunday afternoon for the season and ordered two salads for lunch. Delivery was super fast. What? A salad from Barro’s PIZZA? Yes! Their salads are great. and HUGE. My wife had the antipasto with added chicken and I had the Caesar. These salads weighed one pound or more each. Served up crispy and cold. Loaded with fresh and tasty ingredients. As always, very good prices.
Was wrapped up in a day-long event and didn’t get home until 7:00, starving. Not in the mood to cook. Ordered delivery from Barro’s. Was not upset to be told that the order & delivery would take 90 minutes. That tells you something – the place is crazy busy which usually means good food. I was not disappointed. It actually took less than 90 minutes, but not by much. I ordered a small garden salad with blue cheese dressing. It came with croutons, which you wouldn’t expect on anything except a Caesar. It works. The container was jammed full and the salad was cold, fresh and crispy. Just very satisfying. Also ordered the cheese ravioli in marinara with an added two meatballs. Mom, did you sell your recipe to Barro’s??? These were Mom’s meatballs! Sent me back in time. Same size, texture, ingredients and that BIG taste. The ravioli were large and heavy, just like I love them. Filling. The sauce was flavorful and there was plenty of it. I’m sure that the website said that dinners come with a side of garlic bread, but I didn’t notice. So I was surprised to open the package and see a very generous portion of garlic bread that was warm and yummy. Not greasy. Great bread. Very attractive prices for what they give you. That’s called “value”. Next time I’ll try a Barro’s pizza.

Normally love this place not sure if just because of the busy holiday. But waited 2 hrs for my order. Ordered 24 wings half bbq and half parmesan garlic and x large pizza well done the bbq wings were sauced good but the parmesan garlic wings were horrible had no sauce tasted plain and can tell they were sitting under the heat lamp for a long time were cold by the time I got home which is literally across the road the box they came in was soggy from the moisture was looking forward to this but disappointed

How often do you take an XL pizza home on New Years Eve with 4 adults & have half left over? Only if you buy from Barros on Hunt Hwy. Asked to add jalapenos to half. There were more jalapenos than any other topping. Seemed like they dumped jalapeno juice on top. We took most off the first half, but still ruined flavor. SMH. waste of money.

Super ill for 6 tiny wings for 10$ waited 20 mins pass my pick up time to be given cold wings all the sauce and wings upside down touching the box. Not wrapped at all with foil on top. They had my bread sticks ready when I got there so those were very old and soggy like the sat for over an hour cause they did. They seemed very unorganized i know they had groups of 20 walking in. Nothing was worth the price I will be cooking at home now as another trusted establishment can’t keep up with me the small consumer. I hope those large families keep you in business cause I won’t be.
