Barrio is a great addition to downtown Lexington. The restaurant has a clean, modern feel in a new building, with a nice patio option in addition to the indoor seating. We visited on a busy Thursday night but were seated inside immediately. The food here is the real highlight—it’s all about fresh, customizable tacos and bowls. You get to choose from a huge variety of proteins, toppings, and sauces. Everything is made to order but comes out surprisingly fast. They even bring you complimentary chips and dips to start. While sitting near the bar, we overheard some employee chatter about tips, but it was just typical restaurant talk and didn’t detract from our positive visit.

Me and my fiance love this place, we recently used their online ordering system for the first time. Went to pick up our order and there was a mixup with an Uber Eats order that came in at the same time so our order had already been handed out. Our hostess, Shar handled everything super professionally, had the kitchen fix our order, and even provided us with some drinks and salsa while we waited and continued to check on us. Minor error and inconvenience, that could happen anywhere. But huge professionalism from this establishment, doesn’t happen at every restaurant. I highly recommend this place, everything is cooked fresh and delicious, drinks are always good, and the staff is lovely. I’m always impressed by the food and atmosphere when I walk in here. Thank you again to ms. Shar for being so gracious and helping us!

An upbeat and casual restaurant with awesome decor and fun music vibes. The ordering options can be a little confusing at first. But you can order curated menu items, or build your own tacos, nachos and bowls. The food was very good. Complimentary chips and salsa are served. A full bar is available as well. The staff were very friendly, but they may have been shorthanded staffed as it took us a while to get our check at the end.

I regret every dollar I have ever spent that wasn’t spent on Cowboy Tacos off their brunch menu. We went for brunch today. Our server, Brenda was goated. So nice and attentive. The cowboy taco off that brunch menu? Insane. Incredible. I wish every day could be brunch day. The house salsa was awesome. Wife and kids enjoyed the house queso a lot. We will be back. The vibe and music was rlly like that too. I’m so happy this place exists.

Rich has an amazing place! The atmosphere is relaxed and fast casual. Tried the Blue Elote queso today and honestly could have been my meal. The subtle tartness of the blue cheese, the spice of the queso, the crunch of the fried onions and the grilled corn is amazing!! By far my favorite queso around. You have nailed that one on the head. Thank you for being a great welcoming establishment.

So we made it back!! With my husband. He and I had a great experience, both of us loved our selections and the salsa they give you is fantastic. What I did learn on the second time around was the sauces and accoutrements are what really make the food fly. My dad got the cilantro lime rice with black beans, queso fresco, and shredded beef. It was very plain and definitely needed the add ons. So the more the merrier!
The versatility and quality of the tacos will please any person. So many options, so many choices, a little overwhelming, but, in a good way. My day, brother, nephew and I went today to try it out. The chips and salsa were amazing, not the run of the mill chopped up ultra mild flavorless salsa with 1/2 stale chips. These chips and salsa were above the norm. Fresh fried and hot chips with a unique and flavorful salsa. We each ordered three tacos and all different in one way another from each others. They were hot, fresh and delicious. Only down side? Fish for fish tacks was way more fishy than cod ever should’ve been. I love fish but that was not what you’d want for a taco. The sides of beans and rice were bland, but queso was creamy and delicious.
The whiskey, tequila, other hard alcohol, and beer have a wide variety. Overall I recommend for any time. You like a quieter lunch? They’ve got it. Want an evening date night with some unique margaritas and good musics? They’ve got it.
I definitely will be back with my husband.

The best thing about the restaurant is the drinks and the decoration! I love them! I’ll definitely go back for more.
As for the tacos, the tortillas were cold. Tortillas need to be well cooked on a pan before making the taco, especially flour tortillas, to make them softer thanks to the fat content in the flour.
Overall, it’s a great place to visit in Lexington

Awesome restaurant in Lexington. We got numerous different tacos and plenty of margaritas. Not a single thing disappointed. My favorite of the night was the classic margarita with the chili lime rim, quick and easy swap that really elevated the experience. The atmosphere is cool and they have nice outdoor seating as well. Service was great and the different ordering system was modern and fun. Definitely suggest checking it out!

First time going to any Barrio’s location. Was served by Kelly was an attentive and helpful. Had a great personality and made my first time there welcoming. The food was delicious! I had the Ballpark Nachos with steak and that thing was good! I had work right after but wanted to take a nap haha. I will definitely come there again and recommend it to others!

Lovely, inviting atmosphere with string lighted outdoor patio option. The table was wobbly and I wished that plates came with the appetizer because the thin queso loved to drop on its way to our mouths. (I was surprised that they used plastic cutlery.) For the price, you do get more food at Diablos for build-your-own concept, but I did enjoy the freshness of the pineapple salsa as well as the variety of options.
