Barrio queen presents itself as a cantina style restaurant, unfortunately the experience fell far short of expectations. The corn tortillas were cold and hard, and the cheese inside the cheese enchilada wasn’t even melted. The carne asada taco arrived with a stiff tortilla and cold meat, making it unappetizing. The only highlight was the birria quesadilla appetizer, which seemed freshly made. For a Sunday evening, the dinning room was noticeably quiet with few customers. A telling sign considering the quality of the food. Sadly, the authenticity just isn’t there. I won’t be returning. Hopefully your experience will be better.

Great food friendly staff the TV is on there’s music playing. It’s very nicely decorated My husband I love to meet up here for happy hour. Don’t sleep on the tacos de carnitas so good it has its authentic taste to the meat. Yes the margaritas are on point .

I travel quite a bit and I haven’t been in Phoenix in about 5 years. Most of the staff there though young have been working there for quite some time had some wonderful recommendations and even helped me try something a little different. Ordered a mixed drink along with a few adjustments to my dinner order all suggested by the bartender. Everything was great.

The place was overall clean, although the table they sat us at was dirty. There was only 1 other table occupied in the middle of the day on a weekend (should have taken that as a sign) but took quite a while for someone to come take our order and then we never saw the server again until she dropped off the check. The food was disgusting!!! I got two tacos one was supposed to be a shrimp and steak. I got ONE little baby shrimp and a few flakes of what I assume was supposed to be the meat, most of it was just onions. We also got a bowl, chicken was dry. Even the chips were old and stale! Usually I would give place a few tries but this isn’t a place I would recommend at all.

I reserved the private room here for my wedding rehearsal dinner and it turned out amazing! The room is decorated well and makes for a fun environment for everyone. It was so nice having our own private bar in the room so it was really convenient whenever someone wanted a drink. The food itself was also delicious and everyone kept going back for more. I was very happy with the experience.

Very great service I will come here again just because how well I was treated. The margaritas or phenomenal the chips & salsa were super fresh tasting and delicious. I love how they make fresh guacamole in front of you. The nachos were to die for! I just wish the chicken fajitas were more presentable and more filling. Sadly, they were very mediocre.
