Stopped by Barrio Eats & Drinks and tried the flautas ahogadas — and wow, they were absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the red and green sauce was rich and full of spice without being too heavy, and the flautas stayed crisp just the right amount. You can really tell the food is made with care and fresh ingredients.

The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, with a great local vibe and friendly staff who made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican food in downtown El Paso.

I had the most delicious Mango Margarita I’ve ever had. We ordered the queso fundido with chorizo for an appetizer and it was thick and flavorful. I am a ceviche snob and their ceviche was excellent. My daughter had the Tortilla soup and it was a huge portion with a lot of flavor. Rafa our waiter was attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly. Great atmosphere. We will be back soon for the birria tacos.

We visited Barrio Eats as a group of five plus a toddler and really enjoyed our experience! The food was delicious and portions were generous. I loved that they brought out sweet Mexican bread to the table without us even asking — such a thoughtful touch! An additio al perk is that they had Brunch until 1 pm! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and you can seat yourself, which made it easy for our group.

Our total was around $135, and gratuity was already included in the bill, so just a heads up. Overall, great food, friendly vibes, and we’d definitely come back!

Popped in here for breakfast with my son and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Food was great, vibe was chill, but the service truly exceptional! Our waiter – and I hate that I didn’t get his name – was fantastic. He patiently explained dishes to us gringos, explaining various salsas, and offered great advice.
Highly recommend!

Excellent, excellent (and authentic) Mexican restaurant with old school recipes that deliver. The crab cakes (yes, crab cakes here) appetizer is a must.
Everything is homemade and is amazing from the corn tortillas and pollo de crema (even the white rice and corn were excellent) to the traditional enchiladas, and from the post-dinner coffee to the epic strawberries and cream dessert. Everything is bigger in Texas.
Fantastic service, too. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Awesome brunch place. I had the Barrio Breakfast (Ribeye & Eggs w/ Chilaquiles) while watching Sunday NFL. The ribeye was done perfectly, and very flavorful. Service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Food was good but service was a little slow and 3 out of our 5 utensils were not properly washed and still had residue on them.

Nice and clean eating establishment. They offer Mexican food and burgers. They have a nice little bar. Big screen Tv’s and a good wait staff and bar tenders. Polite and courteous. I had chicken tacos and I also purchased the “Juarez Burger”. Both were good. My Bartender, Martin, started me off with the standard chips and salsa. Definitely recommend

We came for brunch on Saturday. It wasn’t busy and the service was pretty quick and friendly.
The food was hit and miss. Portion sizes were huge which is good I guess.

We got the chicken fajitas – almost there, it was missing marinade or flavor but texture was great.
French Toast sandwich – meh.
Chilaquiles verdes – this was pretty good! I liked the verde sauce.
Overall not a fan of the hash browns and felt like the food was missing seasoning.
Did not like the choice of music or what was on tv. It’s like elevated sports bar vibes. So if you want an elevated sports bar this spot is pretty cool. If you want brunch go elsewhere
