This place is amazing! The quality and presentation of the food is superb, definitely worth the price. We arrived approximately at 13:30 on a Saturday and there was no wait but the place is so good that was filling up pretty fast. The hostess took us to our booth very quickly and the server came to our table not too long after that to take our drink and appetizer order. We’ve been here before so we knew what to order for our appetizers. The menu had been updated, and it did not disappoint. My daughter ordered the NY strip with a side of mac&cheese and fries, mom had the maple bourbon glazed salmon and I had the pub chicken. Seasoning was perfectly balanced, and the temperature of the food was on point.
For dessert mom and I had the chocolate marquise and my daughter chose the skillet chocolate chip volcano. From the service to the food, everything was excellent!! Our server Jenna went above and behind to ensure we were well taking care of and that everything met our expectations; she was kind, attentive, and very fast. Needless to say we definitely recommend this place, and we will be back again soon. This place is a must try and if they manage to maintain the quality this place will remain one of our top favorites. Bravo!

My wife and I came here to use a have gotten higher. We ordered the Candied Bacon which was very pricey for 6 pieces of bacon charging $21.00 is a bit much.
Was it good yes but not worth $21.00.
I also got the Beef brisket grilled cheese which was good and again a bit high for a sandwich. My wife got a salad with beef tips which again priced ridiculously high. Charging $32.00 for a salad with tips is a bit much. The worse part that it came with 6 beef tips but when she had noticed that there was a good size piece of plastic in her salad she immediately called over the waitress who got the manager. When he came over he went to talk to the Chef and brought the plate with him and then offered to make her another one and my wife kindly asked if she could take it home. When he came back he apologized and also offered a dessert for both of us to share bit we kindle declined. When she looked in the bag and took out her salad she noticed that her beef tips were only 4 less then she had to begin with and looked like that they had been cut in half and were small not worth what she would have paid for. He did take it off the bill but please give her the salad that she would have paid for since you were making it fresh and since she hadn’t touched it. I told her to call him back and complain but she didn’t want to make a big deal of it since he did take it off the bill. All in all we won’t be going back. Very pricey and just not worth it.

As one of the most critical women on earth that can find fault in anything and everything even during one of the worst experiences I’ve had at the establishment I still give it five stars. You will never not enjoy any item you order. This particular evening I had a little bit of difficulty because I ordered a stuffed lobster that was on the specialty menu and it said that it was filled with scallops and fish a part of the stuffing, but it was more just stuffing or Ritz crackers with flavor aromatics. I was really expecting more chunks of scallops and fish, but that’s my fault for having expectations and not just enjoying the moment. I have never not had the most amazing drink of my life here. It is always packed for lunch for dinner for special occasions because the food is literally just that good. The service is superb. The chefs are amazing. Management walks around checking on everyone well also serving.

Absolutely perfect on every level. Barrels & Boards delivers an experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary. The moment we walked in, we were met with incredibly tasteful and elegant holiday décor that sets the tone for a warm, upscale, beautifully designed restaurant.

The host staff is pleasant and welcoming, and our server was exceptionally well-trained, knowledgeable, and attentive—the kind of service that instantly elevates the entire night.

And the food… wow. Truly extraordinary from start to finish.
Every dish we tried was simply outstanding:

Candied bacon skewers – addictive and perfectly prepared
Buffalo chicken dip – rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious
Soups – comforting and crafted with real care
Sandwiches – fresh, hearty, and bursting with flavor

You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate.

We’re already planning our next visit—and it will definitely include Smoky Old Fashioneds and the legendary Tomahawk Chop.

We sat at the bar to watch a game on one of the multiple TVs. It was packed, uncomfortably so. It was hard to get up from the bar because the seats were so squeezed together also people standing around trying to get a seat. The friendly bartender did offer to put them on the list to get a seat at the bar when it became available. We ordered a few appetizers, they were all okay. The Stuffy which was recommended had too much breading, the clam chowder and wings were great, and the bacon was okay, the sauce was so rich we couldn’t eat it all. The bartender was quick to replenish our drinks and brought the food out quickly. We left at half time because the atmosphere just wasn’t great.

Visited Barrels & Boards for my husband’s birthday. I was crossing my fingers that my husband would like the food because he can be very picky at times and they did not disappoint. The food was very savory, presentation was on point and we enjoyed our night.

We went to Barrels & Boards last night for dinner and absolutely loved the place. We’ve gotten takeout from there before but the inside of the restaurant is fresh, warm and inviting and the restaurant truly is a gem. Driving by the restaurant and seeing all the cars that are always there is a good sign of how good the food is but dining there last night truly made me appreciate the place.

I ordered the fried shrimp and opted for mashed potatoes instead of fries and added honey glazed carrots as a side, as well. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the crock of mashed potatoes were downright delicious. The side of carrots would be a vegetable you could eat every day and never tire of them.

The haddock tacos, bourbon maple salmon and burger were all enjoyed by the other diners and every single item that walked by the table looked just as good as the next. Honestly, it seems like there is not a bad option on the menu.

Shoutout to the restaurant for having a really strong non-alcoholic beer list with five different options on the menu. As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, appreciate the listing!

A New York cheesecake slice and a cookie skillet served as dessert for the table and thankfully some extra spoons were delivered because we all took at least a bite of the desserts and they were amazing.

Service was friendly, attentive and efficient and even though the restaurant was packed the server didn’t miss a beat.

Barrel & Boards was outstanding. The Calamari app was amazing. The chicken avocado sandwich was huge and delicious. Plus, the chicken stir fry was great. We were so full we took a carrot cake and oreo cheesecake home with us. I would highly recommend it. Our server Jen was great and professional. And I forgot to mention the Knob Creek Maple Old Fashioned hickey smoked is a must try.

My Husband and I went here for a much needed date night! We had the best experience, he got fish tacos and said they were the best he’s ever had and I got the steak tips, which were incredible!
Our waitress was Jenna and she was such a joy! Not only very attentive but very informative and knowledgeable about the food and made great recommendations. She was also quick to refill our drinks which is always a plus for me.
We had a 5:30 reservation and they took us right in. I can’t wait to go back!!

The worst flatbread I have ever had and it also gave me an awful stomach ache 15 minutes after I ate. It was a sloppy soggy mess, no crisp at all. My wife had the burger that had a smashed up bun, presentation was awful for a very expensive place. This was my first time there and will be the last! Very expensive, which I don’t mind paying if the food was good, but not even close to what the cost was. Nice place inside and our waitress was fine, but the food was a 2 out of 10! Would have been better food from a food truck on the side of the road for $40 with my family rather than $120 for garbage. That is with tip, as I always tip well since the waitress was still good, not her fault the cooks are not good.
