The place had promise but missed on several levels. Went for a early evening dinner. It got crowded after 5pm. Our server must have been over worked because she took a long time to get our orders. We often had to go find her to get her to come to us. Once ordered the food came out in good time. Some items were tasty, some just ok. I didn’t care for the deviled eggs. The wagyu bolognase was ok. The bread pudding was ok. The crab soup was good. The steak bites weren’t bad. Overall the food was ok.
The fried chicken sandwich was huge and reported UNDERCOOKED for the 2 people that ordered it. It was sent back and something else was ordered. The manager said he couldn’t compensate them on the bill. We were a large party and they only take 4 credit cards for parties of 5-12 so bring cash if you can, to make it easier. They didn’t offer to do separate checks. Not sure if they would have if asked. There is free parking in Garage E behind the Hyatt. Since its shared with the mall it can be very busy and crowded on Friday & Saturday evenings. I like trying new places and thus I did, but I likely won’t ever go back. Nonetheless, I had a good time because of the people I was with.

I remember Barrel & Bushel having better quality food previously. The difference was definitely noticeable when we visited recently. All the meat dishes were either undercooked or overcooked. The servers were friendly but lacked attentiveness.

It’s still an excellent happy hour place. Their happy hour prices are unbeatable.

Ok, so this is a staple restaurant for me when I’m in Tyson’s twice a month. They have such a reasonably priced happy hour menu. Items are $7, $8, and $12. Drafts, wine & spirits are $6-$7. The 72 hour pork belly bites were a bit too “fatty” for me but did have god flavor. Brisket bites were similar. Regardless…still a great evening.

Go for Sunday brunch! Excellent menu and delicious food. Park in the Hyatt hotel carpark and they validate your ticket.

Glorious smoked bacon and eggs. Great coffee. So breakfast/ brunch was super. The bar and outdoor seating looks fun too. I’ll definitely go again.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel completely welcome and cared for.
And the food? Absolutely amazing. The cheese crab soup was simply divine, a creamy and rich masterpiece that set the tone for the entire meal. For my main course, I ordered the burger, and it was, without exaggeration, the best burger I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor.
This restaurant deserves every one of its five stars. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. If you’re looking for incredible food and top-notch service, this is the place to be.

Went here with my family 5/31, we waited a little longer than we’d like for our food but it was very tasty. Also not pictured is the old fashioned I drank which was also very good! Our server was nice, she seemed very busy/short with us but it was a Saturday night. We will be back!

Dined in for breakfast while staying at the Hyatt Regency. Nice decor and seating. Coffee was excellent; really enjoyed the flavor and temperature. Service was very good. The negative was the allegedly “clean” coffee cup on our table that had some lady’s lipstick still on it. Gross – and honestly made me question the rest of the utensils and serveware. We both ordered the crab and avocado omelette which was enjoyable. Would consider returning, but will keep an eye on the cleanliness next time!

Higher plane was awesome for a first sipping. I ordered a ribeye medium rare, however, came out with very rare and quite chewy. Curly flowers and sprouts were ok for the side.

Barrel & Bushel, located inside the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, offers a warm, modern take on American cuisine. Highlights include flavorful dishes like Amber Maple Salmon and crowd-pleasers such as loaded tots and deviled eggs. The atmosphere is cozy with a charming outdoor patio, and the service is friendly and attentive. It’s a great spot for brunch, dinner, or happy hour—conveniently close to shopping and the Metro.

I tried Barrel and Bushel 3 times during my stay in Tyson

I started my day with pancakes, and they were absolutely fantastic! Fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, I would rate them a solid 10/10. They were the perfect start to my morning, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite.

While staying at the Hyatt Regency, I decided to order some soup and chicken to my room. The restaurant closes at 9 PM, but the meal was definitely worth it after a long flight. It was just what I needed to unwind after a tiring journey.

For dinner, I opted for the fried chicken burger. It was delicious, with great flavors, though I found it a bit oily. I would give the burger and the potatoe chips an 8/10.

Over all my experience at Barrel and Bushel was quite satisfying, American style dishes that made my stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in the area!
