For me, this used to be one of the best barbecue place in Davao however the food and service seems to be deteriorating. Barbecue is affordable but it’s usually a hit or miss when it comes to the taste, it’s pretty inconsistent. Servers are sometimes unfriendly, which could be understandable due to the business of the place. It’s pretty crowded at dinnertime, with all sorts of people, students, and young professionals, etc. So it might take a while for you to be seated.

Great place for local BBQ. There are so many different meats and cuts of fish to choose from here and really great prices. We had the grilled tuna jaw which was grilled very well, tender and juicy, super tasty. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The food taste good for its price. 5pesos for cutie pork barbeque is what I recommend. They also have other bbqs here and some viands you can order. downside here is that its too hot here and too crowded (long waiting line for a table since its popular). A go to for budget meal.

I used to really enjoy eating at Barney’s BBQ because the service was fast, the food was tasty, and the prices were affordable. But lately, the experience has gone downhill. Serving time now takes around 45 minutes, and it’s very frustrating to keep following up when you can already see the food sitting on the table, ready to serve, but still not given. The servers are often unfriendly, and some of the meats look cooked on the outside but are still undercooked inside. For the past visits we’ve had here, I’ve only ended up getting upset. Not recommended.

The food here was so good. I wish I had something like this in Tokyo. I had kinilaw , marinated tuna with fresh squash, although it was not in the fridge before they put on my plate, however the tuna was cold and fresh, slightly flavored with vinegar etc, I can eat this everyday. bulalo had a very strong natural flavor of beef and it was for two people though I just loved it, I drank up all by myself like we only do to good ramen soup. Chicken liver bbq, was so good, the sauce was sweet though great matching with pre marinated meat, inside was so tender, so tasty. So far I went like 10 places to eat, including marinatuna, this place is actually my favorite. So it was kinda sad when I found this place was not even on the google map, added on the google map myself. I will come back again before I leave the city.

Affordable place to eat barbeque. Pork, assorted chicken parts. They also have grilled tuna jaws and belly, best paired with clam soup. A lot of locals go here at night.

First of all .. note to tourists. They DO NOT SERVE BEER!!
I ordered BBQ squid.. undercooked, it still had it’s gladius so needed to watch out for it. I always thought removing it was part of cleaning the squid.
BBQ liver.. was undercooked as well. Still redish.. same with the other BBQ items.
The tuna belly was also undercooked… But since I am used to sashimi I didn’t mind.
The only redeeming quality of the food was it’s freshness. No smell and still taste sweet.
Staff were friendly and all accommodating, they re- bbq’d my order.

Han Bi Kim Budiao
As a first-time diner, my experience wasn’t really good. We got the pork, chicken, tuna, and squid. Only the pork was actually cooked well. The chicken was served raw inside, but they apologized after we returned it and cooked it good after. The panga was tough inside, but the belly was delicious. The squid meat was ok, but some parts we’re also undercooked. Their sauce was a bit too goopy and cold. Fast service and apologized for the issues. The atmosphere is good and surprisingly not that hot in the area. I hope to have a better experience with the food next time because my friends really said the food was good.
