I found this restaurant filled with southern hospitality and charm, from a Google search. Ms. Rae the associate behind the cas register is absolutely positively a ray of sunshine, she really made my day. I arrived about an half hour before the lunch buffet started, she let me know I could get breakfast if I wanted. I told her I could wait for lunch, she said I can hang out there if I wanted. I’ve never been there before and let her know, she provided me with a to go menu if I ever was in town again and wanted to visit, she told me how the buffet works and the foods that will be on the menu today(Monday) because the menu does slightly changes each day. Everyone there were very friendly. I met a couple local gentleman, one that was a character indeed and made me feel like I was apart of small town living, it was a pleasure to be in their presence, the other gentleman was very nice and didn’t seem to mind me asking him questions, when I didn’t see Ms. Rae. Sometimes when you’re feeling some kind of way a place like this is needed to lift your spirits up. I will most definitely visit this place again, in hopes of having a great experience once again. Some of the food items was okay, but those collard greens and fried chicken was everything! There was another lady there that I first came into contact with that showed me where to go because I was confused when I walked in, I didn’t get her name, but she was very nice and helpful as well, she collected my dishes from my table and was so friendly. I wanted her to be recognized as well. Thank you to Ms Rae and to the lady I didn’t get name, for going above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. And, to Ms. Rae, you’re something special there, please don’t let know one take that spirit away, it’s people out there that needs that, even if it’s just for those few minutes. The gentleman in the background of Ms. Rae’s photo was the one who didn’t mind all my questions. He was the sweetest. ❤️

This little gem is worth coming out of the way for. Breakfast isn’t buffet but the made to order will completely satisfy you. The western omelet was perfectly done, packed full, almost to big to finish, and home fries were cooked just right. Will have to come back for the buffet next time for sure.

During Spring break of this year, my neighbor and friend invited me to lunch at the Barn Express. I have lived here for six years and have never gone to this restaurant before. We arrived at lunch time and the place was a little busy but not too bad. We got the buffet and both of us got chicken and vegetables plus a little dessert. I love southern food and was raised on it. This restaurant knows how to make it and they do a really good job of it!
The place was clean and although I didn’t have much interaction with staff, it seemed that everyone was friendly.
I don’t usually dine out but I will definitely return to the Barn Express again.

Southern comfort food at it’s slam country finest! Part beer and cigarette store, part buffet restaurant… yeah, I know, kinda weird, but the food is fresh and good. A great experience! Buffet is well laid out with many delicious choices.

Best country buffet for miles. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Does not look like much from the outside, but don’t let that deceive you. Home style meats, vegetables, salad and deserts with lots of options. If you go after church on Sunday expect to have problems parking or finding a table. Well worth the issues.

A senior citizen group came in the restaurant today. While they were in line to pay they kept coming up to Gene and I asking what was good? We said everything home away from home, and you are treated like you are their family. The chicken was so good they had to wait for more to be cooked they ate it all up. The tea was so good they had to get the to go cups. The group at our table was from my hometown. The group behind us was from the church I play the piano on Sunday. I really felt like home today. God is sooooo goooooooood. Always remember you got to always treat EVERYBODY good, because you NEVER know who you will need before you leave this earth. To God be the Glory
