This was our second time and we absolutely LOVE this place. Such a PERFECT date night. The food has been amazing both times we visited. Loved the bartender and kitchen staff as well. We were a party of 6 (4 + 2) that sat up at the bar and it was a blast.

The ONLY reason I am only giving 4 stars for the “service” is because of the very young lady that greeted us at the front door and walked us back….she was a pretty curt with us and acted like she was seriously inconvenienced by our presence and annoyed that we were there. Sort of put a damper on the beginning of the visit, but we managed to forget about it and enjoy our visit. Besides that, everything else was absolutely 5-star!

Took my parents to Barley & Smoke as a surprise dinner. Favorite part was when Mom stopped when she saw we had to walk through the kitchen. Service (our server Rain) was outstanding, the food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Loved all of it. Would don it all again tomorrow.

I can begin to say enough about our experience, not only with the food but our service was amazingly entertaining. Bradley, made the experience 1000 times more memorable with his amazing personality and enthusiasm with not just our table but everyone he came in contact with. We will definitely be coming back to experience this sweet hidden gem in town.

This was my first time visiting Barley and Smoke! The vibe was unlike anything in North Peoria. Cool speakeasy style with great design and many small touches to add to the experience.

The service was exceptional! Our server was on top of all of our needs. Thorough explanation of all of the items on the menu.

I had the Banana Nut Old Fashioned was incredible! I wasn’t sure if I would like it but it did not disappoint!

We had the pork belly as an app. The server let us know it was a very salt forward dish. She was not wrong! Good thing I like salt.

I had the pork chop. It had amazing flavor!

We will definitely be returning!

What a fantastic place! It’s like the chef table but bigger. The chicken was the best I have ever had. We also loved the grilled romaine lettuce salad. Make sure you make reservations

Thank you, Bradford for your excellent service and attention to every detail! Your cocktail suggestions were spot on and the food was spectacular. You and your team have done something special and transformed a small space in an ordinary strip mall into a luxurious dining experience! Cheers! (For the record, big fans of the brewery too!)

Was impressed with the management of this business and their response on how to handle a subpar situation.

Visited the other night with family for a few drinks in a cool environment because it’s the only speakeasy I can find on the west side of Phoenix.

Two out of four drinks were very good and the other two were bland.

We were not fans of the Mezcal special and espresso martini because they didn’t have much taste or complexity.

The Negroni and basil gin special were much better.

The environment was very cool looking and the service was hit or miss. We showed up an hour before they closed and it seemed like they were treating the situation as if we showed up 10 minutes before close.

However, when I reached out to management to share our experience, they took the constructive criticism and shared that they are wanting to improve based off of what I shared. Very respectful and professional.

Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential.

Great speakeasy feel. Restaurant is in the back of the bar. Very nice cocktail menu. Small but very tasty appetizer and dining menu. Would recommend for a quiet dining experience for special occasions or date night.

Unbelievable speakeasy that is located inside the brewery. Food and service is phenomenal including the vibe once inside. Constant tinkering with the food and drinks they are always looking to be creative.
Strongly recommend for west siders looking for an upscale restaurant that we normally have to travel for.

The atmosphere and service were great! We ordered many things off the menu, and we were very impressed. From the bal buns, to the pork appetizers. Everything was phenomenal! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
