We have visited this place in the past and the food was really good, but on Valentine’s Day we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. It was very busy and there was no seating available, so we decided to get takeaway.
Pad Thai is usually our go-to dish here, so we ordered three Pad Thais for our family. Unfortunately, when we started eating, it was extremely dry and didn’t feel like Pad Thai at all—there was hardly any sauce or flavour, just dry noodles.
Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food and, sadly, will probably not visit again.

Great cozy place run by Bart and his family. Loved the food great authentic Thai test. Dry mango and Tofu salad is the must try.. Quick service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

From the warm, friendly service to the absolutely delicious food, this place never disappoints!
Our family has a few favourites that we keep coming back for:
Papaya Salad with Soft Shell Crab – Hands down the BEST we’ve had. Always crispy and bursting with flavour.
Pad See Ew – A family favourite.
Pad Thai – Another one we all love.
Barlame Fried Rice – So tasty; it’s become a staple for us.
Coconut Rice – Creamy and rich; my husband, son, and I can’t get enough.
Ka Na Moo Crob – The crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli is just yum.
BBQ Pork – Tastes just like the one I make at home. Comforting and familiar.
BBQ Chicken – The kids’ favourite! Similar to the BBQ Pork, and just as tasty.
Net Springroll – Love the unique rice paper flour wrapper. A nice change from the usual. So good!
Massaman Beef – Another family favourite. The beef is incredibly tender and the curry is packed with flavour.
Duck Red Curry – One of my personal favourites. Rich, fragrant, and satisfying.
These are just a few of our go-to dishes on their menu, and we’re never disappointed.
We are a little sad to hear they’re downsizing. They’ve been our go-to spot for birthdays and family dinners, but we will continue to support them wholeheartedly.

We’ve been here twice and both times we enjoyed our meals! My personal favourites are the Red Duck Curry and Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab. Service was amazing as well! We will most definitely be coming back again 🙂

They not only entertained the booking right at that moment but also let us bring our own liquor (of course at a charge).
But the food was equally amazing, hosts were amazing, ambience awesome, and everyone enjoyed, that is priceless.

My family and I have been coming to Barlame for years and I still regard it as the best Thai restaurant in Sydney. The food and service is consistently wonderful and the prices are very reasonable for the huge portions you receive.
My favourite dish is the Coconut King Prawn Curry – an impressive and delicious dish that is actually served in a coconut!

Wonderful Mother’s Day lunch hosted by Bo and Bert. We started with spring rolls and tofu puffs and som tam (green papaya salad) and moved onto pad kee mao, pineapple fried rice, green and red curries. Washed down with jasmine teas and coconut water. Food was clean and tasty, service was excellent and attentive. They cater well for allergies, dietary requirements and plant based vegan and vegetarian options. BYO is also allowed. Will definitely be back!
