I had such a fantastic time at Barefoot Bar & Restaurant in Cape May! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a perfect beachy vibe that made me feel like I was on vacation, even if just for the evening.
But the true highlight of the night was Stefanie—she was absolutely amazing! Attentive, friendly, and just a joy to be around. Her service was top-notch, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell she really cares about her guests.

Barefoot had stellar food, quick service, and good atmosphere. Went for lunch at noon on a Thursday and had no wait to sit at the bar. The bartenders were nice and attentive; Surfside was $8 and the Cape May IPA was $9. The shrimp po boy was probably one of my favorite meals I had while in Cape May. The seasoning on the blackened shrimp was flavorful and a little spicy, and the sauce, pickles and bread were delicious together. My partner had the chicken bruschetta which was also yummy – just surprised it wasn’t in sandwich form. They had relaxing music playing and it wasn’t too crowded. I’ll be eating here again!

Unexpectedly yummy menu for a hotel pool bar. Picked because had to take a beach break and didn’t want the same food delivered plus they had a kids menu, which is required! Very little shade at lunchtime, wear a hat! Had Maine Lunch on tap which was a happy surprise. I don’t get pulled pork much but it said it was a 2025 champ so I took a chance – it was delicious! No fat, perfect chunks, great brioche bun, asked for some BBQ sauce on side.

Absolutely phenomenal service, I asked for a glass of milk and they just kept em’ coming, and made sure I’ve had my fill. Best milk I’ve had in years 10/10. Make sure to stack up on the gallons because I’m coming back for more.

This place rocks. So much fun. Awesome music, chill vibe, good drinks, food is surprising (in a very good way). Good live artists. We stayed at the Marquis so this was convenient. Lots of people were coming in off the street for happy hour and throughout the evening. Definitely recommend.
