Bardens is conveniently located in downtown Waseca on State Street. Opening its doors in 1937 in a former Security State bank, the building contains much of this architectural charm with a 12 by 20 foot stain glass skylight and seven matching windows in front. The Brunswick bar with matching booth set ads to the warm atmosphere and historical significance. Stop in for a cold beer (bottle or tap) or a cocktail. You can also grab some to go with our off sale selection. If your hungry we have Heggies pizza and while your waiting you can play a game of darts, billiards, or try your luck with our pulltabs or e-tab machines.
We’re always happy to serve you!

This is a piece of history. I had the opportunity to stop in for a soft drink and olive’s on my home from a trip. Wendy thank you for taking the Time to share the history that is all original to this very day. I will be back as soon as I can..

Didn’t eat but had adult beverages…cold and refreshing! Our Bartendress, Katie, was amazing She was so great at remembering everyone drinks during the rounds bought. I got to watch a cribbage game challenge, listen to an amazing assortment of music from the jukebox and visit with friends and family. There’s an outdoor patio for smokers and a big plus women’s bathroom was clean! Beautiful ceilings great atmosphere . Only improvement would be to turn on the AC it was so hot inside!
Fun time! Worth the stop if you are visiting, driving through or just going home!

Less riff raff than other places. Locals hangout. Good prices and friendly service. First place to go for a drink,, or a Heggies pizza, since they always have the largest and newest selections of pizza. The stained glass ceiling is cool to see. Great times.

Everyone I’ve met in this town has been kind… until I came here ive never been so racially discriminated in my life the guy named Michael with a ponytail followed me out the the patio and literally told me my kind wasn’t welcome here… then his band of skinheads joined in on kicking me out. I did nothing wrong I didn’t come at anyone I am new to the area and I have never been me to feel so low in my life for nothing .. DO NOT COME HERE

Cool spot to chill for a while and have some cold ones . although the first time i came bottled beers were like $2 dollars n some change then when I came back end of week different tender n also higher prices on same beer bottles for $5 dollars . not cool. But the place itself has a good atmosphere.

Everyone in town seemed to turn out for Bardens’ Beer and Brat Thursday. The bar was festive and fun, and the service and beers on tap were great. We took some sauerkraut home, which was a real treat.

Great bar atmosphere in a historic building. A good place to hang with friends and pick a song on TouchTunes. It’s cash only so be aware of that if you go!

I give it all a zero until ya find respectfully bartenders. And your regular everyday customers that are rude to other customers that are not regulars.

People may not quite shout “Norm” when I enter the place, but that’s mostly because my name’s not Norm. Comfortable and historic home town bar that’s changed little since it opened in 1937.
