We are a family owned Barbecue joint that focuses on elevation of BBQ and working with local vendors. We are proud to not only serve traditional plates but also one of our top sellers, Out of the Chute, which is a grilled cheese sandwich with balsamic onion jam, smoked gouda and brisket. Our restaurant is conveniently located right off 10th St. near the Eudora Elementary School. We offer dine-in, carry out as well as our guests can order online! Our patio is a great spot for friends and families to come together and enjoy the great Kansas weather while playing yard games, having some local craft beers and most importantly, great BBQ! Great little spot! We had pulled pork sandwiches, which were good and good sized. But the star of the show was the sides, especially the Brussels sprouts! The seasoning on the sprouts was out of this world. The potato salad and Mac and cheese were also excellent. Definitely will return.

Got the 2 meat samich. Brisket and spicy smoked sausage. It was outta the park good. Got the curly fries as well. They where like the bottom of the bag small peices but still dang good. Made it easy to pile them right on top on ny samich. Def will be coming back for more.

This is now the best barbecue I’ve had in the Lawrence area. This awesome barbecue spot is only 12 minutes away from where I live in east Lawrence, and I went today for the first time after hearing about it on Facebook and seeing it as an option on DoorDash.
The food and the service were outstanding and I can’t complement this restaurant enough. I got the Haystack sandwich, which is their brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken on a bun with onion strings- that sandwich is the perfect combination to try a variety of their meats, and they all paired so well together! I think I liked the brisket the best but all the meats were flavorful and nothing was dry. It’s no surprise that the Haystack is their most popular sandwich. We also got a barbecue platter with burnt ends and pulled pork and thought the burnt ends were very tender. We got sides of the fries and curly fries- I would absolutely recommend getting the curly fries, these are better than Arby’s curly fries. Oh and the barbecue sauces were pretty great too!
On top of the food being amazing, the woman who took our order gave exceptional service- she was so friendly and took the time to explain the menu and recommended items to us when we told her it was our first time at the restaurant. She checked on us while we were eating and really added to the great experience we had.
I can’t stress this enough- you’ve got to come try this place if you want amazing barbecue. There’s so many other menu options to try that I’ve already got a list of what I want to try next time. I’ll be back!

We are from out of state, and we’re in Lawrence for a conference. I looked up reviews, and though this place was a little out of the way, we took the risk. Amazing choice. This place was clean, quick, great prices, and phenomenal BBQ. Our group had everything from the pulled pork, to the ribs and burnt ends. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. WAS. PHENOMENAL. I can’t say enough about how good everything was. It came out fast as well. Take the risk, drive on out here and try it. You wont be disappointed.

The menu was a lot to take in, but boy did it deliver the goods! Melody gave our party of 8 some incredible recommendations. Tonight’s special is the ribs, and they were the best ribs we’ve ever had! The Brussel sprouts were excellent, the rack and cheese was incredible, and the farmers platter -though advertised for two – could easily feed three. I wouldn’t normally review a restaurant that I may never go to again ( I live in Ohio), but it was too good to be silent. Check out Barbwire BBQ’s truck at the fair, or go to their permanent location…you will not be disappointed! Adding a photo of my son’s plate for viewing.

Ordered Triple Crown with Burnt Ends, Homemade spicy sausage and ribs that fell of the bone. Great selection of sauces and sides. Brussels Spouts with crispy bacon. Enough for 2 with some to take home. Very full and happy we found this place!

We tried this for the first time today and everything was very good! My husband and I shared the platter for 2 and it was all so good and more than enough for the 2 of us. Our kids really enjoyed their meals as well. Highly recommend!

Had the pleasure of dining here last evening. Had the Q Sammie with pulled chicken ,it was so juicy and flavorful!! Onion rings were breaded just right and very good!! Their merchandise was fun as well, the lady at the front explained the logo on the shirts they were selling, regarding the fundraiser they need to have to resurface the parking lot!! They need support and revenue to remodel and improve their restaurant, so please help them out by spreading the word and buying there merch they are selling!! All I all a great first time experience and will be going back again soon!!
