Barbies was fantastic!!! A very nice local diner with very delicious food!!! Seat yourself…A lot of great diner food choices and I believe the waitress name was Sherie?? . She was a bundle of sunshine. Food came quickly, was hot and filled the plate. I could not finish my food. Very reasonably priced well worth it !! Lots of free parking and plenty of seating! Barbies had a nice photo display of a veteran with medals and pictures. Forgot to take a photo of it. Not sure if it is her husband, but it was a very nice touch.

My favorite omelettes in Anchorage!! They have lrge portion sizes, flavorful and perfect hashbrowns that are crispy and never soggy or undercooked. We love how early they’re open too. Prices are very fair for the items to boot. Our go to breakfast spot for some in and take out.

Nice neighborhood location. American fare served in generous portions. Very nice staff. I ordered an omelette and told the server my wife and I were going to split it and amazingly they plated it accordingly. Only negative is the interior is a bit tattered. Chair seats cracked and the carpet is in a very sad state. That said, do eat there and enjoy as I did. Thanks for reading.

One thing I missed was that she makes Reindeer Gumbo!! She starts around 2am to develop all that goodness, I’ll have to make another trip to try it!!

Easy in and out parking, smoke self seating with no wait, pleasant staff, plentiful tasty food at a reasonable price. We would definitely come back.

We ordered veggie omlette with hash brown and fresh toast and butter milk pancake with sausage. It was one of the best breakfast I have had. The server was very sweet and kind!! Loved it.

Super cozy and clean diner. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hashbrowns were so good. Crispy on the outside and perfectly steamed potatoes on the inside. Some of the best I have had in a long time. The eggs were cooked well. The chicken fried steak was standard and fine. The gravy was good in both flavor and texture. I also really enjoyed that rye bread was a toast option. Looking forward to returning.

Server brought water in glasses that were not polished. I could see 3 lip stains on my glass alone. She took our order and disappeared.
Food brought out: My husband found 4 hairs in his food, the home fries were bland and tasted like the oil needed to be changed weeks ago, and he had Food (onions and peppers) on his plate and in his food that he did not order.
My waffle was so hard, it crumbled as soon as I touched it.
When our server noticed neither of us eating, she waited an additional 20 mins to bring the to-go boxes asked for 20 mins prior.
I only give Barbie’s Cafe a 1 star because the price was decent.
