We come to this place quite often for the wonderful food. Unfortunately the male worker there a dark hair, dark eyes with the long beard if very rude! He gets upset if you have more than one order gets upset if you want the item grilled. Very bad attitude! All the other workers are great.

The quality of the food is phenomenal! I had the burrito bowl. Both the chicken and the steak were really good. The steak was tender and seasoned well. The chips were fresh and tasty. My daughter had the burrito with a spinach wrap. Everything was delicious. Chipotles has NOTHING on this place.

Update… I’ve been visiting this spot for over a year now and it’s still totally worth the trip. This is me and my daughter’s go to spot! We recently had the loaded steak nachos (pictured) and it was amazing! Not that I expected anything less. If getting the Steak Nachos, be sure to get the chips unsalted. The steak is perfectly seasoned but if you get the salted chips it will be overkill. If getting chicken, definitely keep the salted chips. The chicken is seasoned nicely but much less salty than the steak. If you haven’t tried this spot, do it now! You will be hooked. ❤

Barberitos has been one of my favorite spots until my most recent visit. Wow, the quality has slipped. We were greeted by a pile of boxes, supplies and clutter at the front door. When we got to the counter and the employee began making our food, I knew something was wrong. The steak – usually the best out of all the burrito places – didn’t look right. It appeared almost shredded, like barbacoa. It was also gray.

Things only got worse in the refrigerated section of the make line. All the small bins were just sitting open, without the frame that holds them in place. I could easily see how old some of this produce was. The spinach was crushed and bruised so I skipped that. I also skipped a lime wedge because it was clear from their color they had been cut days earlier and sitting in their own juice. The cilantro looked questionable, but I added it anyway.

The finished product: the predominant taste of the steak was black pepper. The texture was mushy, as though it had sat in a marinade for too long and begun to break down. It “chewed” like stewed beef, not steak. The cilantro was old, bruised, and full of yellowing and browning leaves I had to pick out. (Also big pieces of stem, very unappealing.) The worst was the salsa. I love the Heavy D salsa but this was not fresh at all. The chunks of “fresh” tomatoes turned to mush as soon as they hit my mouth. The whole flavor was off – it was clear it was old and in the process of souring.

Bottom line: cluttered restaurant, mushy steak, produce and salsa prepped days ago and past the point where it should have been trashed. I’m almost tempted to go back today when they open to see if they put out the same spoiling spinach, limes and cilantro as last night. But I won’t, because I don’t plan on going back any time soon.

Updated Review Sept 2022:
I used to come here 2x a week easy. After tonight’s rude service when I was literally the only customer in the place (employees were sitting down in booths, on the phone), runny queso, and greasy chicken….I’m officially done with this location.

This location remodeled again & its still nice & clean inside. Unfortunately, the food has changed drastically & isn’t as good as it used to be. The biggest change is to their queso dip. Its now either extremely lumpy and has a blander taste than it originally had or super runny. Even tasted burnt one time. Their meat is typically dry now & the last time I had the steak, I ended up throwing it away. No flavor at all which is a shame because it used to be phenomenal. I asked if anything had been changed after a few bad trips, and was told they now cook all the meat in the oven now vs how they used to grill all the meat. I never would’ve thought that would make such a difference but it does. This used to be one of my go to places where I never worried about getting bad food. That is no longer the case now. I recommend going to another location.

Original Review 2017:
I was introduced to Barberitos by my kids. They get quesadillas delivered to their school periodically and begged me to take them here. I was never a fan of this style of food but when I saw the spicy chicken option, I had to try it. It’s amazing. I love how they season their meat and how well they sautee their fresh veggies. The staff is always nice. And the atmosphere is funky and fun! It is a little pricey but they make everything in house so you’re paying for freshness.

I received my food via Doordash and the queso and salsas were packed in the center of the bag of chips, upside down. The bag broke open due to the spilled liquids, all over my newly-refinished hardwood floors and leather couch. The quesadilla was too salty to eat.

Please stop making food next to dirty dish rags that lay on the counter next to ingredients. My quesedilla just touched the side of it Lost my appetite and threw part of it away. So much for $14. Try disposable clothes rags and have them actually change out the rags….sanitary conditions at the Pisgah Church location needs to exist.

Quick, good tasting food with friendly service. Dining room was a bit dirty but understandable and passable with how Quick the service is and how few people were back there.

The food was fresh and good Chipotle-type fare. The standout was the very nice servers – very helpful and capable.

Food was decent, restroom was clean, and kids meals free on Sundays! However, I was very disappointed that they played music not appropriate for children. Also, there is a charge for sour cream – no other similar places nickel and dime like this!

I literally will only do walkin orders from now on normally the staff is always nice but I feel like there’s been some changes lately and it just isn’t the same experience that I was introduced to. NEVER order delivery because I’ve tried 3 times and 3/3 times my order was mess up terribly I order extra protein every time I have never got it on a delivery the order I made today (my third and final delivery) didn’t even have the rice in the bowl and it defeated the hole purpose and they think because I order delivery I can’t drive up there but last time I kindly let them know my order was messed up the girl said “take it up with door dash” smh so i literally just spent $30 on two bowls of bowl toppings
