Barbe-Queen has transitioned from a restaurant in Ocean Park to a food cart & catering service now located in Ilwaco in the parking lot of Ilwaco Cider Company. Not only are we still serving our authentic Polynesian BBQ Chicken, Beef Short Ribs, & Kalua Shredded Pork, but we now also serve Poke on the menu! We’ve been out of commission for some time now but we are back! Downsized our team & menu but still bringing that island vibration & good eats! So when you can’t satisfy your cravings and need something different for your taste buds, come see us to fulfill your appetite. In the lot shared with the fishing place and the cider place! Very good food. Had the smoked Salmon dish, and the salmon was good, with the spicy cream cheese having a nice initial kick and blending great with the rest of the meal. The rice is absolutely spectacular (sushi rice for it all), the kimchi was tasty, and the other sides were nice as well (Mac salad could use something but not sure exactly, the mango was a great sweet touch, and the broccoli was perfect).
I’m an out of towner, but would like to visit again to try the other dishes. A couple folk eating near me had some short ribs that had glass noodles with it, and the teriyaki chicken looks stunning. Chatting with them they said they’d probably not get the salmon cause they smoke their own at home, so you might not see reviews for the salmon from locals :D.
Did I mention the rice? I could eat that at every meal. Flavorful and soft like sushi rice should be, and the best base for all the meals here.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and the dining area was very clean.
The menu was very diverse, but everything we had was excellent. Highly recommend the chicken bowl, and the lumpia was very fresh and crisp. The fries were the greatest surprise. They were very hot, thin, and crispy, with a perfect amount of seasoning. They were easily some of the best fries I’ve had in years.
I will definitely plan on visiting again soon and highly recommend you do so as well.

Hands down the best breakfast in Ocean Park! I am in love with their chicken fried steak – which is actually pork…Their biscuits & gravy is my 2nd favorite option. Great atmosphere and wonderful wait staff – always busting their humps to get their customers taken care of. We have talked about going back for lunch/dinner but have not yet but looking forward to it

The Mushroom, Bacon & Swiss omelet was just my size – flavorful, fresh and satisfying. Plan on leftovers for lunch. We’ll be back, thank you for your smiles & friendly service!

New owners new name. Tried it for the first time today since the changeover and will be going back. I had halibut and chips with a cup of chowder. The chowder was excellent. Fish was a tad bland but tasted hot and fresh. A little sauce and I enjoyed it.

Went here with friends who are locals. Excellent menu Polynesian treats. Short ribs were excellent as well as fish and chips. Great service and cozy atmosphere. Nice people!

Nice to see a new place in Ocean Park which has limited choices! We went here for the first time this weekend. Great menu selection for all types of eaters. We went in for a late lunch. We did not try any Polynesian dishes but absolutely going to try some breakfast here next time.
Food was good, service was great. Super friendly fast and attentive.

WOW…this Polynesian BBQ was soooooo good and super nice people working there!!! I had the Beef Shortribs and my friend had the chicken. The Shortribs where the tastiest ever!
