Went at around 3pm on Saturday, not many people, nice and cold inside on a warm day. My waitress was extremely kind and patient. The eggplant pasta was great, you can tell they use a quality penne. Husband ordered margarita pizza and chicken salad. Food was quickly served and were generously portioned. The atmosphere was very traditional Italian. Highly recommend

Prices are crazy for a disappointing dinner, ordered gluten free pasta due to an allergy and the pasta came out hard as a rock not even cooked, husband ordered a lobster tail with his dinner – I caution you don’t even bother ordering it. They will charge you full price for a full lobster tail then cut the lobster in half down the middle and only give you half a tail for the full price! He literally got two bites out of the half a tail. Very unfortunate we were there on vacation celebrating my graduation after hearing good things, disappointed to say the least. The waitress was not helpful we were extremely disheartened the rest of the night completely dampened the occasion.

Based on the restaurants denial of lobster here is our receipt from 12/20/25, it is circled in red. The Lobster ravioli, with a 20$ additional lobster tail that was actually only half a tail!! Two bites of lobster for 20 extra dollars – highly do not suggest adding that also you only get 6 pieces of ravioli for 42$.Go elsewhere!!!

We booked online and dined inside. Restaurant is amazingly beautiful. Food was awesome as was the service by Vanessa. They even altered my meal as I am kind of a picky eater. Even the busser was great. Negatives, it’s loud. I mean , with the acoustics, you have to raise your voice to carry on a conversation. Then they sat us near the bathroom for our first visit and there was a constant stream of people standing in line by our table… But the food and service was so good we would make the drive from Ft Myers again. just dine outside.

Barbatella is centrally located on third street with two separate areas that surround a courtyard and fountain. One area is dedicated to Gelato with overflow seating for the restaurant, while the other is a small restaurant bar area. The outdoor area makes up the majority of the seating for the establishment and is usually busy while seats inside are easy to come by. I prefer the decor on the inside and especially appreciate the designs on the ceiling – the service is also a little better in my experience. On my last visit, the service was outstanding – very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. All of the food came out in a timely manner and was prepared as ordered. Everything was fresh and made with quality ingredients. I’ll be back!
