I came to this place on a Sunday at 9 am. We were only planning to do pick up, but we ended up staying to eat. The food was very delicious. The barbacoa was super soft, and the handmade tortillas were delicious. I liked that the barbacoa had great flavor, but at the same time it was not overpowering. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. We ordered, and everything was ready in less than five minutes.

This is authentic Barbacoa de Borrego (goat) from Mexico. The family dedicates themselves to making everything like they would in Mexico, getting up before 4 a.m. to start the fire to heat the brick oven to the right temperature to prepare the meat according to tradition. The have real blue corn tortillas, quesadillas of chicharrones (pork skins), quesadillas of huitlacoche (Mexican truffle or corn smut), quesadillas of flor de calabaza (pumpkin flowers), quesadillas of quelites (wild herbs), birria and consome of Borrego (goat stew) or pancita (tummy), tacos of Borrego (goat), cafe de olla (traditional Mexican coffee brewed with cinnamon, piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar), and often cloves, traditionally in a clay pot). The seating is outside and the weather has changed but there are heat lamps making it comfortable. As a non-Mexican, a good sign that the food is authentic is seeing completely Mexican clientele. The staff are very personable and accommodating. They take cash, Venmo, and Zelle for payment. For a valid traditional experience and very filling food, I recommend a visit.

This place is awesome. I got some barbacoa to go and a stack of blue corn tortillas and they were fantastic. Also got a quesadilla with huitlacoche to tide me over. The menu is focused but I’ll be back to try more things!
