If you don’t have plans for Valentines Day yet and can get in, go impress your date here. It’s romantic, without being stuffy. Food is outstanding. Seafood is super fresh like their Wellsfleet oysters. Get that cremeaux for dessert. Try one of their wines and indulge with their pomme frites! I loved everything about this spot! Logan Square just won!

We have an amazing Wednesday date night here. Perfect food and atmosphere for a mid-week pick up. We loved all the items we order and their mocktail is surprisingly good as well. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, fish nuggets and mussels.

Upscale dining with a solid menu and great service.
Really enjoyed the petite offerings as a way to sample a lot of different flavors brute moving on to the main courses.
The steak tartare was excellent and the fries were very crisp and well seasoned, some of the best I’ve ever had.
Worth stopping in for a full meal or even just a drink and small bites.

Just top to bottom class and comfortable meal. Highest review possible from my in law”I didn’t realize it’s already 8!” Time had down by so will and smoothly. What lovely selection of dishes and amazing wines. The room is beautiful and three service is warm and knowledgeable. Best fries in Chicago by far, and who knew celery could be prepared in such an inventive way.
Perfect for date night, b perfect for business dinner, perfect to impress the in-laws who are otherwise quite picky!

Sorry to say it, but this joint is mid. The food is good, but not good enough to justify the $$ price. The service is variable. Sometimes it’s okay, sometimes it’s terrible. Atmosphere is fine but nothing special. Parking is not great. There are no garages or lots nearby so if you drive you have to deal with street parking, which is sometimes fine and sometimes really not. If you do go, maybe don’t drive.

Came in for New Year’s Eve with low expectations given that it’s often a busy night but was so pleasantly surprised. Great service from the moment we walked in to when we paid our bill – not pretentious at all.
They were offering the happy hour which I will most definitely be back for – burger and oysters were tasty. They even cut the burger for us to share which I always appreciate when that’s offered. Also tried the duck rigatoni and cabbage. I like my rigatoni to have a little more bite to it but sauce was flavorful. That’s really the only critique I can think of.
Drink-wise: our group liked the dirty martini on the happy hour menu and espresso martini was also good – could have used some extra shaking for more foam but again these are small notes.
Definitely visit Bar Parisette!

Went on a Monday, and was pleasantly surprised that it was all day happy hour on Mondays. Drinks were delicious. The fusilli was great, as was the poulet roti. Also enjoyed the salmon. The charred cabbage was the standout; best thing I’ve eaten in a while. If they expanded their dessert menu, especially with some baked/warm options, this place would be fantastic. As it is, would definitely recommend.

We went to Bar Parisette for restaurant week. The rye milk bread was amazing, but the steak tartare was just okay. The truffle rigatoni was the highlight of my dinner! Service was a little slow, hostess stand was disorganized and we one of our group’s entrees was initially missed. Hopefully they can figure it out as it is a newer restaurant. We’ll be back for $2 oyster happy hour for sure!

Small but good menu. Kitchen/staff could up the coordination of food service. Three of us had entrees mostly eaten by the time the fourth entree arrived and it had clearly been rushed to the table (not cooked through). Liked the soft serve and mousse and the fries were really excellent as was the chicken liver mousse. So mixed reviews but will return before making final decisions about whether to add to the rotation or not.

We dined at Bar Parisette tonight. Service was excellent. The round leather booths are elegant and comfortable. Ask for one when you make your reservation. Chef Madalyn Durrant ran food to tables, which was nice because it provided the opportunity to compliment her on our favorite dishes. We ordered everything on the menu, except the chicken liver, the tartare, the lamb, and the burger. While everything was good and competently executed, the best items, which are truly exceptional, are:
1) Carrot Salad (honey, coriander, honey, Moroccan olive)
2) Sunchokes and wax bean salad with pollen
3) Halibut en Papillote with root vegetables
4) Roasted Chicken with carrot caramel
5) Soft Serve Ice Cream (salted vanilla/blueberry lavender twist)
I liked the spaciousness of the restaurant, and there are some beautiful and fun design elements, like whimsical wallpaper, sparkly gold epoxy floors in the washroom, beautiful light fixtures, and those beautiful round leather booths.
Many of the wines are a bargain, including $8 glasses that were uncommon and memorable. Matt Sussman made our evening extra special by sharing his wine knowledge.
