Great place! Nice clean traditional bar vibes full of locals and good people. Location was t bad and the food was great and the bartenders made us feel very welcome! Get the wings and the cookie desert!
Only area for improvement would be the bathrooms. Kinda nasty Portland bar bathrooms. Would recommend redoing them. But great hangout

Great dive bar. They are open late which is wonderful. They have outdoor covered and heated patio. The food is good and agree with others sometimes the portions are too small so keep that in mind. Otherwise they have a good beer and liquor selection and sometimes have karaoke.

I may have a wait a spell till I get the beef kabob plates I order when I go there, but from that first bite, I remind myself that it most certainly is worthy of the wait! It never disappoints. I ev n wanted to come here on my birthday, those kabobs are that good! We crave them. Great beer/ drink selections, great tunes. Outdoor seating is ample, and I like that Bar Maven is dog- friendly.

A bit disappointing. We were very excited to try out this spot as it comes so highly recommend and their “Nacho Week” nachos looked great.
We walked in, not really sure where to go to order food. You order from the bar and grab a number. Only had one menu at the bar where there are lines of people looking to order food.
Moscow Mule was one of the worst Moscow mules we’ve ever had. Not sure if you could even call it a mule. The nachos which we were really looking forward to were very disappointing, a handful of toppings on the top chips, other than that, it’s a plate of tortilla chips. Seems that they should have kept their Greek Nachos for nacho week….
The burger was actually really good!!

A guy threatened to kill me and rose the bartender did nothing!! I tried telling her and she was incredibly dismissive. He was white and had a German Shepard, late 50’s | plaid pool with him and after calling him out for being misogynistic while I was beating him in the game he said he was going to dig a 6 feet hole and bury me in it. I started yelling and no one did anything. I left for my safety but bar maven is a bar full of misogynistic bystanders and I could’ve been hurt.
Luckily I’m a strong woman who can stand her ground and my female friend was there to help me leave. This place is not safe for women who are better than boomer men at pool. This also I would like to say is after some creepy dude would not leave me and my friend alone even after we yelled at him he would not leave our table THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN

I have never once had hummus that si have liked. Not once, in my whole life. This is delicious. Chicken skewers. Hummus. Pita. Get this. And the Fuzzy something (I don’t know, I’ve had a few of them… So good! Can’t even taste the vodka. I won’t be driving tonight. I am in love with this place. My new SE go to!

Update many years after my original review – they still have it. Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. They also have N/A and CBD drinks!
Comfortable neighborhood bar with a burger to rival the big guys. Drinks are good, can be loud at peak hours, but the patio is perfect for summer happy hour and the inside has the perfect ambiance for a first date. Bonus: they have a parking lot.
