When Plan A Falls Through, Sometimes You Find Something Better
Our original restaurant choice was closed for the month. Time for a pivot.

My father-in-law works downtown Noblesville and suggested we try Bar Ellis. Little did we know, we were about to stumble into one of the best dining experiences we’d had in a long time.

Walking through the door, I was immediately struck by the interior. Historic brick walls met comfortable, chic modern design. The space was warmly lit and welcoming, and fortunately, so was the team at Bar Ellis.

The hostess seated us quickly, and Grant, our server, arrived moments later with drink menus and a genuine smile. Then came the real challenge: helping my non-seafood-eating wife find a gluten-free option she’d actually enjoy.

After a thoughtful conversation with Grant, she made her choice. I followed, excitedly ordering the salmon BLT. “Is this one any good?” I asked.

Grant’s face said it all. I was in for a treat.

He wasn’t exaggerating. My sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The bacon was crisp and full of flavor. The bread was toasted just right, crispy but not too thick. Every element worked in harmony: the crunch of the bread, the tenderness of the salmon, the crisp bacon, all elevated by a dill mayo that tied everything together.

I know it’s “just” an elevated BLT. But it’s the best one I’ve ever had. I was genuinely sad when it was over. It was one of those rare meals that left me wishing I could be hungry all over again.

As we finished, I sought out the manager, Chamron. She greeted me warmly and asked how everything was. After sharing my compliments about the food and service, I asked about the story behind Bar Ellis.
She smiled and told me about two sisters and a brother-in-law, a chef with a passion for exceptional food and desserts, who dreamed of creating a restaurant that was both classy and hip.

Then she shared something unexpected: Bar Ellis transforms on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM to midnight. Friday features karaoke, Saturday brings live music, and the whole place shifts to a 21-and-over scene. Even the lighting changes, creating a darker, moodier atmosphere.

The scratch kitchen stays open throughout, so you won’t miss out on that incredible food. I’m usually too old to be out that late, but I just might need to make an exception to experience this transformed space and enjoy that delicious salmon BLT again.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s genuinely cool, serves exceptional food, and employs a team that actually cares about your experience, check out Bar Ellis in downtown Noblesville.

You won’t regret it.

We had the most amazing meal here. The duck breast and ribeye were top notch. BUT THE CRAB STUFFED MUSHROOMS!!! Best thing ever! The cocktails were incredible
also. It was our first parents night out after having a baby and we had the best experience. Shoutout to Alex for taking such wonderful care of us, he was the best server and we will be asking for him on all future visits!

Food was fantastic
Highly recommend the empanadas, bacon wrapped bbq shrimp, and the sweet and spicy wonton shrimp appetizers. Pork schnitzel was flavorful with that perfect crunch. Red cabbage and spatzel were fantastic accompaniments. Live music Saturday night and the band was super chill and talented with an eclectic playlist. Highly recommend this place! Worth the drive to downtown Noblesville.

Really enjoyed Bar Ellis. We split a few appetizers and everything was great. The crab rangoons were my favorite, cripsy, creamy, and full of flavor. Also tried the smoked salmon pinwheels and bacon wrapped shrimp, both were solid.

I had a Delta 9 seltzer while I was there. The flavor I chose wasn’t my favorite this time, but I’ve had them before and usually like them overall.

My friend got the shaved steak and it was a huge portion. The menu has a lot of variety so I’m definitely planning to come back and try more. Cool spot for apps and drinks.

Mostly positive experience at this new restaurant. First, it is a beautiful place, they made the most of the space and it really is a great ambiance. Our server was friendly and though it took a while to get our initial drink order, it was fine after that. The menu looked familiar and that is because it is from the same chef from 10 West (before it was sold). The coconut shrimp app was well prepared and tasted good, but the orange marmalade dip was a bit too sweet on top of sweet coconut and sweet shrimp. Wife loved the chicken milanese and we both loved the creamed corn side. My steak was a bit under seasoned, though the compound butter helped a bit, but it was rare rather than mid-rare. There are no beers on tap (only bottles/cans) but they have several unique cocktails on the menu. We will definitely be back.

Okay, this is another location that you need to run not walk to! They definitely just put Noblesville back in the game!Normally I start off talking about the food but I have to talk about the service staff first. Everyone was very welcoming and super communicative. The service here is simply second to none. This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say that this officially puts Noblesville on the restaurant map.

I started with the bacon wrapped shrimp and then did the ribeye with whipped potatoes. I’m telling you, the preparation, flavor, and presentation had me thinking I was at a high-end steakhouse in Chicago. The bacon wrapped shrimp is A+!

I’m definitely going back within the next week because I want to try the chicken and noodles.

Such a fun and vibrant location, definitely check this place out and you can thank me later 🙂

I had heard a lot of great things about Bar Ellis. I loved the ambiance and the service was amazing. The food however was just good, not great. Don’t get me wrong, it was very good, but from what I had heard, I expected to be amazed by the dishes.
The service however was top notch. I can’t rave enough about how attentive but non intrusive our server was. Also they had a nice selection of mocktails which I appreciated as I’m not currently drinking alcohol. Overall, I would definitely return and summertime will be a blast with their rooftop patio.

Great service, wonderful food, terrific signature drinks, fabulous atmosphere! Best filets ever, a must try. The Salted Caramel Espresso Martinis were a favorite at our table. Appetizers were delicious. Rave reviews for the crab stuffed salmon and bacon wrapped pork. Desserts were great too! Our server was Seth, ask for his station. He provided wonderful service for our table of six. Highly recommend!
