Super fresh Chinese buns. Baozi is a stuffed Chinese bun. This used to be a frog pot restaurant but now it’s a baozi restaurant. The baozi are always freshly made so very often the stuffing you want would be sold out. It can be annoying but the good thing is that they don’t serve you frozen ones. My favorite stuffing is the pork which is think is better than beef one which is too lean. I think the chive one with egg is not bad either. Overall I think the stuffing can be improved (the sauce has too much soy sauce) but it’s really not bad at all.

The porridges are a great deal for $3 a person because it’s all you can eat. It’s a very popular place in the morning so be prepared to have to wait for the baozi. Service is prompt and courteous and interior is bright and large. Parking can be hard to find due to the busy plaza.

My husband invited me out for lunch, and I told him this was the only place I wanted to go — because I know their kitchen is clean, everything is well taken care of, and the food is always top quality.

From the outside, the place looks spotless, with its neat storefront and signature blue roof that gives off a fresh, welcoming vibe. Inside, everything is organized, tidy, and you can tell they really care about presentation and hygiene.

We ordered dumplings and wonton soup, and honestly — absolutely delicious! The colors were vibrant, the broth had that beautiful golden hue with chili oil floating on top, and the aroma alone made my mouth water.
The dumpling texture was perfect — soft yet firm, with fillings that were juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced. The wonton soup had just the right touch of spice, rich flavor, and it wasn’t greasy at all.

Everything tasted fresh and made with care, using quality ingredients. You can really tell this place takes pride in what they serve. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality you get.

Definitely a place I’d return to without hesitation — clean, flavorful, and made with genuine attention to detail.

Very authentic and yummy Both beef and pork buns are amazing! 酸菜猪肉的也好吃~ The spicy chicken one is VERY spicy so don’t order that if you can’t handle spicy food Congee is good to have with buns (buffet style if dining in). Also ordered wonton (big ones not 小馄饨), and can say is very good (from a Shanghainese), just don’t forget to add some white pepper.

Buns are little pricy ($2.5-$3 each) but I think is worth it. Service is great and the place is clean and spacious. Would definitely come back again

Delicious baozi with thin skins and good portions of flavorful fillings. Both the meat and vegetable options are excellent. We went back for more immediately.

I saw this place in red note and had to try out. It’s a hidden gem in Rowland heights! They have a list of variety buns flavors to choose from and each cost $2.5-3. And there hot spicy sour soup, hot unsweetened soy milk, little millet congee, and thousand egg with lean meat congee ayce for a price of $3. Honestly with $3 ayce for all of that, it doesn’t exist nowhere in LA. And there’s also unlimited small cold dishes to eat with congee for a price of $2.5. I highly recommend their cold dishes and hulatang ( pepper soup) it’s so delicious . I had to take some cold dishes at home and for $2.5 a container I had to smush all of them together. It last couple days but it was so good

Really tasty green chives & egg baozi and the pork baozi! Service was quick and friendly, and there’s lots of seating, so it’s a great spot to relax and grab a bite. There’s also a congee station & sauce station to make your own sauce. Would come back again to try other flavors 🙂

The buns here are absolutely delicious — super fresh and made the same day. The congee is just $3.50 per person, and the side dishes are $2.50 with unlimited refills. Really affordable! I had two buns and two bowls of congee and felt full, all for just $13. As someone from Northeast China, I approve — highly recommend this spot!

Also, I highly recommend their house chili sauce — it’s incredibly tasty. Just a shame they don’t sell it!

We passed by and tried their pork belly bao, it was so good that we went back immediately for more. They gave us baos for free to taste and told us how to reheat the baos for optimal results. Best bao shop ever.
