I keep forgetting how crumbly the bahn mi bread can be, but I love the delightfully crispy & toothsome texture – and this establishment has seating so you can enjoy your meal in peace while watching the bustling street activity passing by. It’s a small busy place with a mom-n-pop vibe. I’ll definitely be back for future bahn mi cravings. And also they have a menu of hot food, including abundant looking servings of pho! And there’s easy free parking a block away in the Kerrisdale customers parking lot.

This place was good! I’m Vietnamese and have been to a lot of Vancouver viet spots but this one really reminded me of home. I liked the cozy, yet clean feel and I enjoyed how quick and kind the service was. A few things: the Ho Tieu nam vang was not as umami as could be, and the bun rieu was mostly all noodle, but the soup and flavour of each was good! I also liked the com I got but it was a bit greasy. But the flavour was good as well and everything was super fresh. I also liked the quality of tea they had. Overall, a good experience and not a bad place to take friends or family.

We were excited to come here as we haven’t had Vietnamese food for a while. Everything started off well but it went downhill when the crispy fried dumplings came in cold.
The dumplings were cold and definitely raw in the middle. Pork is something you don’t want to gamble with. Luckily none of us got sick but it could easily have happened.
The server and, probably the manager/owner, were extremely apologetic which was great. Mistakes happen.
My wife got a bahn mi which she didn’t like that much — quite bland for her. I got the lemon grass chicken with egg which is a staple, and I enjoyed it.
Overall, besides the mishap, it was a pleasant experience. Will we come back? I’d say so. We’re willing to give it another shot.

It’s reasonably priced and delicious. I used to walk past this place all the time and it was always packed, so I was curious. Now I get why.

The decor is what really draws you inside. Love their setup. It’s fun and simple.
The service is good and the staff is friendly.
However…
I think it might have been an off day or maybe we should have ordered something else. The prep on the betal beef wasn’t that good. Looked inconsistent like someone in experience rolling different sizes of joints. The flavor seemed bland as well.
The crab soup had an unusual sweetness to the broth as well. It could be that it’s their twist to the traditional one?
It didn’t discourage us. I think we will come back again and try other items

I stopped in for lunch today and had a wonderful experience. The place had such a cozy, welcoming vibe that made it feel like the perfect spot to relax. I ordered the lemongrass chicken, and the portion was generous. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy, and fresh—really delicious! The service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I’m so glad I decided to stop in for lunch and will definitely be coming back for more!

The food was terrible. The beef was of very poor quality and tough, the rice noodles were mushy, the bean sprouts were unsanitary, and there was no service.
It was overpriced and completely not worth trying.
Definitely avoid this restaurant; there must be a reason for their low rating!
They served our food to another table without apologizing, and the owner was drinking while giving us perfunctory answers to our questions, showing absolutely no basic politeness or respect.

Food was ok. My #46 dish ($17.50) was a tad underwhelming as far as flavour is concerned. Meat and pickled radish didn’t have much flavour. Fish sauce dip for spring roll was a compensation for that at least. Next time I’ll try their namesake, a baoguette (banh mi)!
Parking is metered street parking unless you go more than a couple blocks away for residential parking.
Service was ok. Taking orders was good but no follow up after bringing food with refills of drinks.
Dining room was not too busy but we were there kind of late in the evening.

Hard to find a Pho place that checks all the boxes. Great broth, good meat, chilli oil is really good. Ice water and tea are fresh. And workers are very kind. Price is fair.

A Vietnamese restaurant that deserves a solid 4. Pork & crab meat noodle soup is awesome. The soup base looks thin but tastes really rich. The food in the bowl is plentiful and delicious – pork & crab meat ball and fish cake are house-made, well textured and tasty. The bean curb is not fresh enough or washed well though. Rare beef & beef ball noodle soup is another delight to the taste buds. The soup is very hot when served which is a nice thing to me. Love the taste and texture of the beef balls. The last dishes ordered is house special rolls. It’s a mix of traditional deep fried spring rolls and paper rich rolls. Truly amazing. Overall very happy with the food in this restaurant. Looking forward to the next visit.
