Up in the northwest corner of the state in Litchfield County holds this hidden gem. It’s been ages since I’ve been here and I practically grew up here and Gooseboro’s as a kid (Cozy Hills Campground.) Bantam Pizza has been here since..well..since I can remember.
Parking – Plenty of it, and there’s a good number of handicap spaces.
Food – Pizza was on point and delicious. Normally..I like my pizza to be doughy and not have that crunch..but their pizza has that crunch but it also falls apart if and when you cut into it so it’s got that perfect texture. I got the Bantam Special but with no fish…I hate anchovies. Crust was a little hard..but it’s okay, I don’t usually eat the crust anyway, even on a doughy pizza…unless it’s stuffed. Soda came out in a can…so no fountain drinks.
Service – Friendly, fast, efficient and always came to see if I needed anything more and how I was doing. She seemed impressed that I ate the whole thing..but it was a small pizza..so of course, I can and will eat it all…especially if it’s good..otherwise it’ll go in the fridge for a week and I’ll forget about it.
Overall…definitely a 5* visit and will return. Menu has changed a bit as far as pricing goes compared to what they show so this is the updated menu.

Good and bad. Great food and reasonable prices. Bad side to this is hidden cost. Bill only showed what we ordered and 2 drinks written on top without prices. Bill was $10 over. When questioned the waitress said it was for the cardboard box for our leftovers. Never heard of this before. Plus if you only wanted water you had to pay for a bottle. If anyone out there goes there please check your bill.

The pizza is slightly different than others around, we really like it though. Although it doesn’t reheat very well. Would of gotten 5 stars but their sizes are a rip off, the large here is a medium everywhere else and you definitely pay for it.

This is my third and last time coming here. This is my second raw pizza in a row, flavorless on top of it. $22 for a medium pizza that I have to finish cooking at home is absolutely diabolical. Cheese and toppings slide right off prior to having to recook it at home, under the slice isn’t even beige, forget brown. Light on the toppings, just overall absolutely horrible. First time eating anything from here was 6 months ago, and at the place itself. It was so good, crispy, flavorful, stuck together. The last two times of doing takeout, absolutely horrible. Both times undercooked, both times flavorless and toppings don’t even stay on. The customer service over the phone is also mediocre. Never a hello, never kind, just seem annoyed to take an order.
NEVER again. Gave benefit of the doubt twice, fool me once, now it’s shame on me. I’ll never go here again, and will tell others to steer clear also.

First time here and pizza was delicious! Ordered a small mushroom pizza and was not disappointed! Staff here made pizza super fast! Walked in and ordered a pizza and Only waited about 10 minutes or so for it to be done! So fresh! Pleasant staff at this restaurant! Definitely will be back if I’m in the area.

Bantam Pizza is a beautiful place with a very warm atmosphere. The pizza is delicious, you can really taste the quality and flavor. I especially want to highlight Linda’s service she was so kind and caring, which made the whole experience even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back!! ❤️
