Always worth the drive to eat here. I have always wanted to try the burgers, but usually opted for the fish, and yes ir us that good! Well tonight I tried the double bacon burger…Wow…two 1/2# patties of meat! Plus bacon! You gotta try this place.

The staff is excellent. Very friendly & nice. While the prices may seem a little high, you get a lot of food for your money. I usually can’t eat all of mine & take it home for my spoiled fur babies. The food is delicious also. I don’t get to eat there often since we live in Mountain View, but when we’re going through Melbourne, we like to eat there.

Prices a bit high but good food and friendly staff and service. I ordered a late lunch with grilled chicken basket cheese curds okra onion rings and cheese burger. Spent over or around $50.00 for two people. It’s no longer American Burger Place, it’s now Burger Place.

Well worth the 20-30 minute drive. Hands down best catfish I have ever eaten!!! And if you leave hungry it’s your own fault. Took home enough for a whole other meal. And our waitress was very sweet♥️

The place is very popular as it was packed mid-afternoon. Food was just okay. The fish sandwich was kind of chintzy. They cut a filet in half which didn’t even cover the entire bun. The waitress and other people were extremely friendly. Smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a restaurant.

This is just a great little small town restaurant serving good meals. You get so much food for your dollar. The home made pies are to die for. Don’t forget to pick up a slice on your way out for later!
UPDATE: This place has changed owners (again!) the food is not good. I sent my dinner salad back because the bowl was dirty. I wasn’t rude or mean I just showed her what was going on. She never came back to our table. All the sudden we got a new waitress.

We heard they had good catfish and they did not disappoint. My wife and I had the 5 pc weekend special. There were 5 big catfish fillets cooked perfectly! Not overcooked but done. Many places either cook them too hot and/or cook them until the batter is dark brown.
Big baked potato on my plate and plenty of fries for my wife. Slaw, pint beans, and pickled green tomatoes on the side. We walked out stuffed and was $25 with the tip.
Other plates we saw coming out looked just as good and everyone seemed to like it.
If you are hungry, this is the place to go in Melbourne!
