Their parking lot shares with another business, while there is a good amount of parking, the spots are a little tricky to get in and out. The walkway in is very narrow but once inside it feels more open and definitely has that homey diner vibe that I miss coming from the east coast!
Now the food is definitely the star of the show! I think the prices are typical for similar restaurants but the portions are huge! We got the special Sweet Potato Skillet and shared it between two adults and we were both very full from it. They LOADED it with the meats! I wasn’t sure how I felt about their biscuits – it feels like a cornbread/biscuit combo and I haven’t decided if I like that or not lol. Another friend got the cheeseburger and again very large in size with a generous amount of hot and fresh fries with their yummy homemade ranch dressing. My 4 yo got her own kids breakfast and loved the big strips of bacon. Yum!
Our waitress was efficient but not overly friendly but I understand the weekend morning breakfast rush. Oh you MUST get the Marionberry Poppyseed Cake!! I will honestly come back just for that!
Come check out this local gem and your stomach will thank you!
Cozy with a nice ambiance throughout, with friendly and attentive staff.
A varied menu of delicious food (especially the steak medallion’s) and the delicious pies (marionberry!)
We eat there often when in town and have always had great service ,but after last night might consider a different restaurant.
First, it’s not what my wife wanted, and when my wife ordered something that isn’t even on their online menu, the person taking the order should have verified what my wife wanted.
Secondly, the food looked like someone’s leftovers, half-eaten, and obviously made several hours ago.
When I called back to fix the problem, they said it was no problem. As I was picking up the correct food, I said, “I’m picking up the order that was made wrong.” The blonde behind the counter clapped back very rudely, “It wasn’t made wrong; it was ordered wrong.”
I apologized for the misunderstanding and went on my way. However, as I mentioned before, the person taking the order should have verified the order, considering that my wife ordered something that’s not even on their online menu.
I will say that what I picked up the second time was correct and freshly made. That’s why I rated the food 3 stars and not one star.
