Ordered bun mam. Should’ve stuck with their Banh cuon. This soup was so light colored didn’t match the photo. It was not a deep flavor. It was not spicy or stinky fermented. It was good but it ain’t legit bun mam.

Bánh ướt okay, just the right chewiness and not too thick. Fish sauce is a little too sour. Bún mắm is not good. The broth tastes off. They use boiled pork instead of roasted pork.

I polished off a huge bowl of Bun Rieu Dac Biet (tomato broth noodle soup with crab meat, conch, shrimp, fish cake, and tofu for $16.50) but couldn’t resist ordering the Banh Cuon Sai Gon too (shrimp in rice flour rolls, pork in rice flour rolls topped with pork sausage and crispy shrimp cake for $13.75). After all, the restaurant is named Banh Cuon Saigon. Both were delicious and a good size giving value for the price. The Bun Rieu tomato broth was slightly sweet, but that was perfectly balanced when I used a small sauce plate to mix the fermented shrimp paste and chili paste for dipping the noodles and toppings. The Banh Cuon was on point with warm rice rolls, slightly blanched sprouts, and topped with the sausage and shrimp cakes. It all came together when I mixed in the seasoned fish sauce. The two dishes are easily enough for two people. I’m only in the area about once a year, so I had to order both for myself, and look forward to returning when I can.

This restaurant has authentic Vietnamese food and is relatively clean. Our server, Huong, was very helpful and accommodating to our requests. The Bún bò Huế and Bún mắm were truly magnificent. I was particularly impressed by how well the soup and noodles complement each other. The pig trotter in the Bún bò Huế was tender, succulent and full of flavors, so we ordered extra. Please be aware they do not accept American Express, and we are truly grateful they made a one-off exception for us.

Their banh cuon is fresh, delicate, and full of flavor – just like what I grew up eating in Vietnam. The authenticity of the food made me miss Vietnam so much, and the warm, friendly atmosphere is an added bonus. If you want real Vietnamese food, this is the place to go!

Authentic and Delicious Vietnamese steamed rice rolls (bánh cuốn). Recommend getting the special Saigon bánh cuốn! Restaurant is located in Saigon West side of Eden Center.

This is a great place to check out if you’re in the mood for Vietnamese food aside from the usual pho. The fish head noodle soup, bun mam, is pretty good. The banh cuon said gon is really delicious. The fried fish cakes are a little over fried and might be reheated too much.

Everytime we are in Falls Church VA, we eat at Banh Cuon Saigon. The place is small, but very friendly with great service, and best of all, Tasty foods. Bun Rieu Đặc biệt and Bun Riêu Oc are the best of all along with Freshly made Bánh Cuốn. Be back soon again.

We always come here for bánh cuốn (steamed rice crepes; come in 3 varieties: plain, filled with shredded dried shrimps or filled with pork/black ear fungus/minced onion), bún riêu with ốc and huyết (crab soup special with snail and blood cakes) and bún bò Huế (Hue style beef noodle soup). These three dishes are always consistently good, and hit the spot when I am craving for Vietnamese food.

I order bánh ướt to go. The food is chewy and cold like it has been in the fridge for a day or 2. Maybe because It’s a to-go order. I should eat them at the restaurant.
I also ordered bún riêu and cơm tấm sườn to go. They taste good to me.
