Just had lunch at Bangrak and I’m honestly impressed
The place has such a chill vibe and the staff couldn’t be nicer. We shared a few starters, the coconut shrimp and crab rangoon were spot on, but the real star was the massaman curry, absolutely delicious
The grilled steak fried rice was another winner.
Drinks were great too, loved the Thai Iced Tea and Lemon Thai Iced Tea.
Finished off with mango sticky rice, and I couldn’t have asked for a better meal.
Already planning my next visit

We ordered pick up and were disappointed with the serving portions.
The panang curry with duck came with such a little amount of curry, we didn’t feel the $32 price was appropriate.
Similarly, we felt (5) coconut shrimp is on the verge of unfair at a $12 + tax price point.
We called and let them know, about an hour later they delivered a container with the appropriate amount of curry, nothing more.
I’m curious if it was a mistake originally, or if they think that is a reasonable amount of food to send someone.
The flavor and food quality is decent, but there are obviously other options in UES with equatable quality, and lower price / larger portions!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood! You can’t beat their lunch special. We always order the Volcano chicken and Pad See Ew with beef. For appetizers we get spring rolls and Bangrak Dumplings. Many Thai places give you a tiny appetizer for lunch special but Bangrak is very generous and gives you 2 spring rolls or dumplings. Its a must try!

DELISH! Everything was fresh. We got the lunch special on Memorial Day. The staff was so kind. This place became one of my fav spots right away! At this time I will say the best Thai spot I’ve been to. Definitely will come back and highly recommend!
Great Job Bangrak

We had the best time in this beautiful gem. Great thai tea. The lychee iced tea refreshing and perfect. The mimosa was perfect too. The sangria was light and lovely. The chicken and shrimp dumplings was devine. Handmade and stuffed. The crab rangoon was fresh and flavorful. The chive rice cake was scrumptious and not oily. The fried tofu perfect. Good portions. Pad Rama tofu was great. Lovely peanut sauce and crispy tofu. The masam curry perfect. Phukeyt crab curry was a 10. Deep flavor, perfect spice. Bright flavor, nice lps of crab. The fresh veggies and pickled veggies and egg made this outrageous. Pad see ewe nice. The black stick mango rice was fresh. The staff was amazing, kind, helpful.

The aesthetic here is very cutesy. I love the pink and addition of the tea pots. I ordered the papaya salad as I do at any Thai restaurant and theirs didn’t disappoint—it had the perfect balance of citrus and nuttiness. The wings had the perfect amount of sweetness. For dessert we had the mango sticky rice this was definitely some of the best I had.
My only complaint was that the restaurant was a little tight and the light switch for the bathroom didn’t work (I looked inside and outside). Other than that, it’s a very clean place with a friendly staff.

Quaint restaurant with excellent food. We’ve dined in and ordered take-out, both were excellent meals. As a plant-based, vegan eater, I appreciate the willingness to help modify dishes to accommodate my dietary restrictions. My omnivore partner has also been very satisfied with his meals.

I had a really good lunch on Saturday. The food was great. I had pineapple rice and my husband had pad Thai. The lunch special also came with a soup I enjoyed. Will come back again.

It’s a cute small Thai restaurant. The food is nice, and the servers are friendly. We got green curry with beef, pad see ew with beef, and a basil fried rice with shrimp. The green curry was quite nice. Compared to most of the Thai restaurants, their green curry was not as sweet, which was to my liking. It was more savory and was able to bring out the flavors of the vegetables and the beef. The seasoning of the pad see ew was also on spot, however, I didn’t like the texture of the broad rice noodles. It was a bit too thick and too chewy. I preferred it to be thinner and with softer texture. The flavor and the combination of the vegetables were good. Last but not least, basil fried rice was spicy and flavorful. The lemon wedge brought out another level of flavors. The shrimps were also fresh and tasty. Overall, I would say it’s a slightly above average Thai restaurant. I’d like to come back and try other things.
