What a pleasant surprise! We’re visiting the Outer Banks and decided to try Bangkok Thai.
We had 2 delicious lunch specials, pad Thai and green curry.
My Pad Thai was hot, saucy and had lots of chicken, and very flavorful.
The best I’ve had in a long time.
Bangkok Thai is definitely on our return list.

Impossible to top the service here! Rei and the GM, Corinne were on top of everything from the moment our 5-top came in the door. The food was fast, delicious, filling, and Art to look at. The staff were all attentive, kind, and knew the ins and outs of the menu without batting an eye.

I give this place a solid 4.5 stars. Our waitress was sweet. The only downside was the wait for our rolls, but to be fair, there were only two people making them, so I completely understand why it took a little longer.
That said, the food was 100% worth the wait. I eat sushi every week, and I’ll admit I didn’t have super high expectations—how good could sushi be on the Outer Banks? Well, I was wrong. The rolls were absolutely delicious. The calamari appetizer was tasty with a great sauce, and every roll our table ordered was great. My favorites were the Sumo A5, Hotty Hotty, and Heart Attack rolls.
Not sure when I’ll be back to OBX, but when I am, this restaurant will be a must stop.

First time to OBX—I love visiting local restaurants anywhere I go, and this one did not disappoint. Flavors were on point, and the service was wonderful. My favorite part? The squid actually included TENTACLES (not just rings).
Side note: We couldn’t see the restaurant from the main drag. We had to park and then take a little walk through the cute village there, but it was totally worth it!

went in last night as a walk in party of 5 and they were able to accommodate us within ten minutes with a peaceful table outside! amazing sushi and we will definitely be back again for some more thai food. and from the looks of it, they have a pretty good take out business which we will keep in mind for a big family night!

Excellent sushi in OBX (and really anywhere). The quality was great and so was the service. We tried hamachi carpaccio, two rolls, and the local tuna nigiri special. If local tuna is available, get this! It was outstanding. Hamachi carpaccio is a must as well. The rolls were tasty too, and one came with local crab meat. We didn’t explore too much of the Thai side of the menu, but did have a zippy papaya salad that brought the heat in the best of ways. Make sure you stop here on your next trip; I know we will!

The amazing food gets the 5 stars, service was very good too, but was a bit of a wait, even though they weren’t busy at the time. Tuna was so good, beautiful and fresh, and so was everything else. The lemongrass soup was delicious, with a perfect spice. Loved the Wanchese roll!

The food was absolutely amazing. Our servers gave us amazing menu recommendations and were patient with our questions. The flavors were unbelievable and the spice was perfect. I had the pad thai, but I also sampled the tamago yaki, and Khao soi. I tried the Thai Tea and it is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had (better than Starbucks). I would absolutely recommend going here, but be warned you will be ruined for any other Thai food.

Can say enough about this place. If you have stayed in Outer Banks before, the owners of Single Fin in Nags Head are the same ones as Bangkok Thai-Sushi. Obviously, the sushi is delicious. We also like their papaya salad to eat with our sushi. Our kids typically get spicy tuna poke bowl or pad thai. During the summer, they have live music on weekends. Great ambiance, great service, and the best asian restaurant in Northern OBX.
