Highly recommend getting a reservation if you need to be seated timely or expect a 20-30 mins wait. We arrived with a reservation and were greeted courteously by the hosts and seated within a couple of mins. Our server was a very jovial person and just by his conduct one could tell he enjoys what he does. We were a group of five people and two of the members in our party had dietary restrictions since they practice Jainism. Our server understood the requirements and suggested items that met the criteria. We ended up ordering Smokey soya chaamp, Banarasi lassi, palak patta chaat (without onion/garlic), mahabir ki aloo tiki (without onion/garlic, banarasi kachori aloo sabzi (without onion/garlic) and kadhi-rice. Banarasi lassi was exceptionally good and so was Smokey soya chaamp. Hands down one of the best soya chaamps I have had in North America. Palak patta chaat an aloo tiki also exceeded the expectations. Banarasi kachori was a bit too spicy (hot) for us and upon asking we were told that this was the mildest version they have. So if you don’t handle spice well, maybe consider skipping this item. I did not have kadhi but my buddies told me that it was flavorful and a trip down the memory lane. We had a great time here. I would 100% recommend soya chaamp and banarasi lassi. Also if you plan on tipping, please tip in cash to ensure every $ goes to the support staff.

We went for lunch here. The food was amazing and as close to authentic Banaras flavors as you can get. We ordered aloo tikki chat, kachori and Banaras lassi to begin with. All of these were filled with authentic flavors. For main course, we did litti chokha and poori aloo. I didn’t quite like litti chokha that much but poori aloo was awesome. For dessert we had jalebi and malaiyo which were amazing as well. The service was quick as well.

Dining at Banaras felt like a warm trip back home! Even though we aren’t actually from Banaras, the flavors were so nostalgic and reminded us of tastes we haven’t experienced in years.
We definitely let our eyes get bigger than our stomachs and ordered the Dahi Gola, Paneer Patta Chat, Kathal Biryani, and the famous Litti Chokha. We’d heard such great things about all of them that we just couldn’t choose! Everything had a fun, unique twist while keeping that authentic taste we were craving. If you go, the Litti Chokha was our absolute personal favorite.
We wrapped up the meal with the Rabdi Jalebi, which was a pleasant surprise. It was perfectly balanced, sweet, but not overwhelming like some places which definitely helped reduce the guilt!

A quick tip: The tables are a little cozy for two adults and a kid, but I’m sure the staff would help accommodate if you need more room. We arrived around 7 PM and had plenty of space, but it filled up fast by the time we left. The place was also a bit too loud but nothing you would not expect from an Indian restaurant.

Really good experience with the food. Unlike any other Indian (especially north Indian) with the variety of UP style food. A lot of dishes were as good as we could have expected made in ghee and mustard oil and quality ingredients. A friend we visited with however said portions have gone down a bit while the prices did go up. Overall good to try and we will definitely return

Located in Crossroads Bellevue. Menu is very unique and small but a great variety of vegetarian only food. Aloo chat was spicy and flavorful. Pani Puri was ok. Jackfruit Biryani was unique but a little bland. Items are quite pricey and quantity was normal. Service could have been better. We were seated in a congested table even when there was a whole section empty. Parking is easy to find.

This was our fourth or fifth visit to Banaras, and this time the experience was extremely disappointing.

The aloo tikki and other dishes were served cold, which is unacceptable. This is $145 for a sit-down dinner, not a take-out meal. At this price point, serving food at the correct temperature should be the bare minimum.

The service further hurt the experience. A staff member repeatedly came by every few minutes to clear plates, often before we were done. Instead of attentive, it felt intrusive and rushed, making it hard to enjoy the meal.

We’ve returned here multiple times in the past, but this visit felt like a clear decline in both food quality and overall dining experience. Given the cost and expectations, this was not worth it.

Our first time here. The food is absolutely amazing! We had litti chokha and spinach leaves chaat. Kiddos enjoyed the zero spice aloo parantha with raita. And jalebi with rabdi for dessert. All the dishes were super delicious and good portions too. Will be back to try more authentic Benaras cuisine.

My friends and I had such an amazing time at Banaras. The food was excellent, especially the smoky soya chaap, paneer tikka, and matar paneer, which were our favorites. The drinks and desserts we ordered were also great.

Special thanks to Karan for making us feel so welcome and for recommending dishes tailored to each person’s preferences. It truly elevated our experience. The ambience and service together made the evening even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Benaras Cuisine in Seattle, and I have to say, it’s some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything was just too good to stop eating! The jalebi and chaat were absolutely top notch, perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. We also ordered chai, a variety of paneer dishes, and several appetizers, all of which were equally delicious and cooked to perfection.

The presentation of the food was unique and impressive, making every dish feel like a special treat. On top of that, the customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really made sure we had everything we needed. Benaras Cuisine definitely left a lasting impression, and I’ll be coming back for more soon!

I have mixed experience with this place. The food is great. However, they are not accommodating to the requests (my sister ordered for 1 extra Puri and they said they can only do 1 plate – 2 Puri but not one, even though we are willing to pay extra).
The environment is not cleanly managed – the songs are too loud. The floors are too slippery (even though when I was wearing sports shoes) and the worst is the way to the bathroom (the floor/roof was broken and it was dripping water, they put a bucket to collect the water droplets which made the floor on the way to the bathroom extra slippery).
The service was okay – they kept interrupting every 5 mins to ask if they can take the plates.
