More unique than your stereotypical Thai place. Their soups are incredible! We had the duck noodle soup, the shrimp wonton soup (no pork in it), and a fried rice on the specials board (came with Chinese chicken sausage and pork floss). Everything was so rich and outrageously flavorful. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed, but wow, if I lived in the neighborhood you’d have to hold me back from this place. Honestly, try any of the soups. It was shockingly good. Service is no frills bc it seems they run pretty lean, but they are still very attentive and gracious.

Great Thai food and special dishes. Tasted great and the waitress was very friendly. We enjoyed the meal and were surprised at the high quality of the ingredients and thought that goes in to preparation. Highly recommend.

We ordered the braised beef panang special and the avocado green curry with tofu based on recommendations from previous diners. The green curry was a lot sweeter than traditional versions, which is unfortunate but fairly common in Thai restaurants catering to Western palates. For the beef panang dish, the vegetables and beef cubes were in a very soupy panang curry, again sweet and missing the depth of flavor from spices that are usually present in these curries. But the weirdest thing was the beef. What is normally a soft and moist piece of meat was instead hard and salty like beef jerky. I wish I was exaggerating about the texture of this meat but it was so hard and unpleasant we stopped eating it and just ate the vegetables. We did mention it to the server after the meal when she came by with the check, and she gave us a discount on that dish. We will not be back. The only positive part of our meal was the server, a young redhead who despite having to doing everything from taking orders to serving food to ringing up the bill for what looked like the majority of the tables in the restaurant, was prompt and friendly throughout. So one more star added for the great service.

Some of the best thai food I’ve ever had. Many Thai places just lean on ‘sweet’ – Banana Leaf on the other hand has truly interesting, multi dimensional flavors.

Banana leaf is sooooo delicious, I am addicted to the Singapore noodles. I can’t wait to try more on their menu it all looks SO good. And the restaurant itself is super cute and comfortable.

I’ve eaten here frequently over the years. The food is consistently good, and the menu changes frequently (with new chefs, I suppose), but the new choices are always equal or better to what they replaced. My one complaint was that something I had assumed was traditional, refills on iced tea, was not, and I would end up paying twice for the drink. $7 for flavored water was a bit much. This time, the server made sure to refill my iced tea without a second charge. I hope I am not the only one who was given this courtesy, and it passes on to other customers who themselves might never bat an eye over separate charges. Anyway, if you love Thai food as I do, I recommend BLTB. The Jungle Scallops were delicious. In the past, I found the Avocado Green Curry was well worth having. My dinner companions all enjoyed both the service and their entrees. The spring rolls were a real treat. Enjoy!

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after getting off the ferry and before heading on our way out to Olympic National Park. That was over a year ago and we still talk about the meal we had here and are still trying to find a Thai restaurant in our area (central Illinois) that matches up to the amazing food we had here. My husband got the red curry and I got the mango duck curry. So so good! Hopefully one day we’ll make it back!

The best Thai food ever! Absolute heaven, for vegetarian’s, and anyone who appreciates distinctive fresh flavors. And staff will work with you to find a dish that meet your needs and suits your fancy! It’s a great place to experiment and broaden your horizons because no matter what you order, you will be pleased! To top it all off, they are open on Tuesday which as anyone in Port Townsend knows is a special quality!
