Good service and deep flavor. The foods not too spicy and goes down easily. Only caveat was the noise level. Couldn’t really hear myself speak.

We’ve lived near Port Angeles for a few years but don’t make it out to Port Townsend often. Gave this place a try with family visiting and it was fantastic!

They have a dedicated vegan menu and many other items can be made vegan. Pot stickers, curry, shiitake clay pot, we’re all delicious. Nice whole chunks of fresh shiitake for my clay pot.

First time here and ordered a seafood dish with noodles, a house special. It looked very good on the plate but there wasn’t much flavor other than the heat. Not the usual delicious Thai flavors you expect when you eat at a Thai restaurant. Will not go there again.

Great Thai food and special dishes. Tasted great and the waitress was very friendly. We enjoyed the meal and were surprised at the high quality of the ingredients and thought that goes in to preparation. Highly recommend.

Nice little restaurant with really tasty food. The waitress was friendly and the food was spectacular. Everything about the Singapore Noodles was spot on from the freshness the veggies to the portion of the chicken and shrimp. The rice noodles were super thin and the curry had the deep that only a few places can get to. It was easier to get to being a block of the Main Street. They have their own parking.
A new most go to while at Port Townsend.

There’s competition amongst the 3 Thai restaurants in PT, and admittedly, Banana Leaf is my least favorite.

I have my biases, a major one being that I’m vegetarian. So please keep that in mind. We do have friends who really like this place!

Pros:
1) They offer decent Thai food on the Olympic Peninsula
2) They offer Doordash, which is awesome and not typical for PT
3) They have a few vegetarian entrees

Major Con:
1) The veggie options are not very tasty

The Tofu steak is bland and WAY overpriced, and I’ve included a photo of the vegetarian curry. It includes way too many slivers of ginger, which I’ve pulled out in the attached pic for perspective, and there were many more that I discovered as I dug in. I love ginger, but the sticks are not awesome to chew on and overwhelm everything else. I haven’t had a Thai curry that offers the same level of experience, hahaha.

So, yeah, I don’t wanna throw shade on this place. We truly appreciate the veggie-friendly efforts, but the dishes are not great compared to the other 2 Thai places in town… currently. There’s room for improvement as of today. 🙂

I certainly encourage you to support our local business and try Banana Leaf yourself!

More unique than your stereotypical Thai place. Their soups are incredible! We had the duck noodle soup, the shrimp wonton soup (no pork in it), and a fried rice on the specials board (came with Chinese chicken sausage and pork floss). Everything was so rich and outrageously flavorful. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed, but wow, if I lived in the neighborhood you’d have to hold me back from this place. Honestly, try any of the soups. It was shockingly good. Service is no frills bc it seems they run pretty lean, but they are still very attentive and gracious.

Had the Lemongrass Chicken and it was so good. I still think about it months later. Nothing is overdone or underdone, just perfect.

Had a great experience dining here tonight. The server was very pleasant and the food was fresh and tasty. Nice size portions too. I had the Pad Thai with lemongrass chicken and my wife had The Drunken Mushroom. Both were very good. We were seated in the outdoor patio and it was a very nice atmosphere. We will be back!
