They’re my favorite place to order General Tso’s from. We drive quite a bit of the way to go see them. I love this shop. They’re friendly, fast, and courteous. The foods yummy. Will happily keep going back.

Storefront Chinese restaurant offering typical food from a large menu. Efficient service. Wait time minimal. Food good. Fried dumplings, hot and sour soup and boneless barbecue pork hit the spot. Portions large. Premises appear quite clean.

I feel compelled to give a poor review. In my opinion, Bamboo Wok is the absolute worst Chinese food in the city of Tallahassee. The Kung Po Chicken was finely diced breaded, deep fried, not stir fried. It is not supposed to be breaded. The peanuts were not cooked with the food. They simply sprinkled them on the top. Most places put whole dried chili peppers in, they used graded.
It neither smelled nor tasted like Kung Po Chicken. The rice was simply colored. It didn’t look or taste like fried rice. They obviously avoided the correct cooking process and took short cuts in the preparation of this food.
You can tell a good Chinese / Asian Fusion restaurant by the number of repeat Asian patrons. I doubt many, if at all, any Asians return here. These meals appeared to be prepared with 0 pride in the culture. After the food sat in the car for a few minutes, I noticed the only thing I could smell was stale oil. I doubt they change the oil in their deep fat frier enough. This was absolute garbage. I didn’t even keep it. I threw it out once home.
For authentic Chinese food, go to Blossom Kitchen on Tennessee St. If you want authentic Chinese and some American Chinese foods, go to Flavor Treasure on Tennessee and Ocala. There is usually a long wait, a limited menu, and seating. Jiust order take out prior to going to FT.
If you want Chinese food with a pleasant atmosphere, Chinese, go to either Masa on North Monroe or Dao Restaurant off Bannerman. Azu Lucie Ho’s off Appalachee is good, depending on who is cooking that day. I have rarely been disappointed in the places I suggested.

Bamboo Wok is a fantastic spot for Chinese food that actually hits the mark on flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, and the portions were generous without feeling greasy or overly heavy. You can tell they’re consistent with quality, the kind of place you can order from again and again without guessing.
What I really liked was how balanced everything was: bold flavors, crisp veggies, and perfectly cooked rice/noodles. Each dish felt made-to-order, not rushed, and the food held up great even after taking it home. If you’re craving solid Chinese takeout with great portions and real taste, Bamboo Wok is a winner.

Bamboo Wok is an absolute gem. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor—everything tastes like it was made with real care and attention. From the perfectly cooked dishes to the balanced seasoning, you can tell quality is a priority here. Portions are generous, and every bite feels satisfying without being overwhelming.
The service is just as impressive as the food. Orders come out quickly, even when it’s busy, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Everyone is attentive without hovering, which makes the experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place with great food, fast service, and a warm atmosphere, Bamboo Wok is definitely worth checking out.
On top of this, the staff there was world class. The guy behind the counter is nuclear (HYPSM sweep btw) and is the primal king on Sova. I love qing with him and he’s so swiggity sweet. Swoosh!

Bamboo Wok is hands-down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served hot you can tell they take pride in what they make, and everything tastes like it was prepared with care.
What really makes Bamboo Wok stand out is the customer service. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick to help, whether you’re dining in or picking up an order. They make you feel welcome every time, and that kind of service is rare. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Bamboo Wok is a solid choice for Chinese food. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were well-balanced, and the portions were generous for the price. Our order came out quickly, and the staff was polite and attentive. Clean dining area and a comfortable, casual vibe. Highly recommend if you want reliable, tasty Chinese takeout or dine-in. My sister always gets the Singapore Chow Mei Fun. She really likes it and it tastes excellent.

Food is always freshly cooked and delicious. The woman at the counter is courteous and kind. I have a family member with dementia. This woman never loses patience and always helps them to order and pay. Thank you

Total meh!!! Food was okay here but the service for the brown people that come here is trash. The cashier/order taker who appeared Asian was short and impolite with anyone that was brown that ordered food there, including me. She basically threw my receipt at me and was near rude in taking my order. I observed her interaction with “other” types of customers and she was warm and even offered smiles. As soon a brown customer came to order her tone and demenor changed. I watched several orders being taken and until she noticed that I was watching her, she interacted this way. Service here if you are brown is trash, for the prices they are asking this is an avoid. DO BETTER!
