Informal BYOB restaurant serving Thai & Vietnamese cuisine in cozy, Asian-themed surrounds.

I don’t often write reviews unless I’m absolutely compelled to, and after last night’s dinner at Bamboo Leaf, eating my leftover Pad Thai at lunch today, I had to write one.
Walking in we were warmly greeted by the host who offered to open our wine (BYOB place) to enjoy while we sat in the bustling waiting area for our table. We were told 30 minute wait, but waited about 20.
We had Chicken Pad Thai, Pork Panang Curry, Vegetable Basil Fried Rice for dinner & Sticky Mango Rice for dessert. All I can say is that this was the best Thai food I have had in my entire life & I have eaten at a lot of places.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, allowing us to spend a considerable amount of time savoring the remarkably fresh and rich flavors of the food.
Food, excellent- Vibe, casual & fun- Value, great still have leftovers-
Will I be going back to Bamboo Leaf? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. (I live 1 hour 20 minutes away)
I am so glad I listened to my girlfriend who made this recommendation.

prices are so outrageous. I visited expecting to pay $20-30/person as that’s what was indicated on google. Lunch for two came out to $76, $90 with tip. Appetizers and salads start at $15!! That’s how much I’d expect to pay for my entire lunch. Most of the menu is $25+. AND the food was not good. The only redeeming thing was thai iced tea, which was a whopping $7. Service was fine and the space is nice, but it was completely empty at peak lunch hours for a reason. They could really benefit from making at least some of the menu affordable and offering lunch specials.

Best of the best, if you’ve never been here you’re missing out. Street parking is plentiful, place is BYOB so stop by BBP for a 4 pack to have with your meal or there’s a liquor store a block away. Place is small so prepare for a wait, the news is out already on how good this place is. Been coming here for a decade and always excited to see these guys going strong, pumping out quality cuisine with amazing flavor for reasonable prices. We started with the Papaya salad and Fried tofu, both of which were delicious. For mains we split drunken noodles and red curry. I’ve honestly been a curry guy every time I go here, but the drunken noodles knocked my socks off. Insanely flavorful with a slight char, it’s everything you want in a dish. Overall 10/10 meal I’ve never been disappointed here and always leave happy. GO HERE

This was our first visit to Bamboo Leaf Thai in Bradley Beach, and it definitely won’t be the last! The food was full of flavor — we tried the Drunken Noodles and Red Curry, and both were absolutely delicious. You can really taste the freshness and authentic Thai spices in every bite.
There was a wait listed at 30 minutes, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated in just 10. It’s definitely worth staying close by and waiting your turn — the area is nice to walk around, and the restaurant is BYOB, which is a great bonus.
Parking was easy — free street parking after 5 PM, just a block or two away with parallel spots. And after dinner, we took a relaxing stroll along the Bradley Beach boardwalk — a perfect end to the evening.
Highly recommend this spot for flavorful Thai food in a laid-back beach town setting!

Great Thai Food, Just Watch the Prices
Had a really tasty meal at Bamboo Leaf recently! The food was awesome—super flavorful and felt authentic. We ordered Pad Thai, some soups, and the seafood curry, and everything hit the spot. The place itself has a cozy vibe with nice decor, and overall it felt welcoming.
There were a couple of things that stood out, though. They charge a $4 fee if you pay with a credit card, which is odd these days, who still uses cash
Also, when I ordered soup with both tofu and chicken, it ended up being double the price of just tofu, even though the portion size seemed the same. Next time, I’ll probably just stick with one protein to avoid the extra charge.
Despite those small issues, I’d still recommend Bamboo Leaf. The food’s great and the atmosphere is solid—just keep an eye on the bill!

Let me start off by saying I am probably the most critical thai food eater there is. I have tried so many thai places in the united states, none of them live up to par to authentic thai food I have had. This was absolutely phenomenal, if you want straight up authentic thai food that isnt westernised this is it. Everything was so good, you can immediately tell with the curry that it is made authentically with so much love and time!! Thank you thank you!

We went in 1/31 around 8. We had the curry dumplings, and shrimp rolls to start. The shrimp rolls were great, the curry dumplings were ok, I thought they’d be steamed not fried. I had a combination drunken noodles, and my sister had a combination pad Thai. The entrees were delicious. Probably one of the best drunken noodles I’ve ever had! We ordered it medium spicy thinking it would be enough but next time I’ll order spicy so it can really come through. Service was good. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars only because it’s a small place and once packed it’s hard to hear yourselves at your own table, so I recommend going in the beginning of a rush for a more intimate meal.

Bamboo Leaf is a real gem. It is tiny and crowded but the Thai food it serves is authentic and delicious.

Went here for the first time tonight. We have been wanting t to try for so long. Super cute inside but small so it would not be great for larger parties. All of the food was absolutely delicious! Got the pad see ew & pad Thai. Vegetables and all other ingredients were super fresh – you could just tell. I also got the cucumber salad which was amazing!!
We went on a Friday night so I was expecting some sort of wait for food/seating but we were seated right away. However, our order was not taken until probably 25-30 minutes after we were seated. And the food probably took another 25-30 minutes to get. Note that you may have to wait a while for your food so it might not be best to go super hungry as they only have one person taking orders for the whole restaurant (at least when we were there). Everything is made from scratch so the food was definitely worth the wait though! We will probably just order takeout when we want it again.
