We were craving for Chinese food last night, however, our usual go-to place is just too far. So we’ve decided to look for somewhere close. Im looking for freshly cooked food that will satisfy the cravings.
We found Bamboo Kitchen inside a plaza corner of Milliken and Foothill. I was surprised to see the place not busy on a Saturday afternoon. I was a little skeptical if the food here was good.
The place is quaint and clean. The lady behind the counter who must be the owner was really friendly, she offered some free jasmine tea and rice to add in our to-go order.
Our order came out fast. The portions of the food is worth the price. We ordered Chicken popcorn, salt and pepper pork, Shanghai pork spare ribs, kung pao chicken and fried rice. All freshly cooked. The aroma tells me that this is going to be great! I was right, everything taste really gooood!! All flavors hit the spot. Cravings satisfied!!! Better than our usual go-to place. The free jasmine tea is really awesome, I just need some sea salt foam and it will taste the same as the one I buy at a famous bakery store nearby.
I was wondering if we found a Chinese food gem in RC, how come the place is not packed?
People should try this place.

Cozy little restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. Large selection of dishes and generous servings. The servers are very attentive and the food is prepared quickly. The restaurant is very clean. The lunchbox specials during the week are especially well-priced for all that you get. And you can dine in, order and pickup, or get it delivered via GrubHub, etc. Highly recommend this little gem of a place.
Update Jan. 17: Be sure to speak clearly when giving your order as the server sometimes has difficulty understanding. I’ve had two wrong orders. I kept the wrong orders because I was in a hurry and the food was still delicious.

This place is a ripoff!! The food was amazing but while ordering the waitress, whom I believe is the owner, tells us “that’s enough.” Wouldn’t you want more business? Each plate is more than $15. I’m confused? Anyways, when going over the bill there was a “15%” service fee. When calculating the total on the bill, the math was wrong. When confronting them about it, they told us “the computer did it automatically.” There’s SO many other good Chinese restaurants to go to that don’t price gouge! It’s not about being cheap, it’s the principle. We will definitely not be back!

It’s not worth the price you pay for. I purchased more than a few items. There is just not a lot of taste of flavor, very plain in taste. The meat Not so good I had every item of meat, and the shrimp was probably the best out of any of it. Nice people, nice service, just not a fan of their food. I wouldn’t go back a second time.

I read some of the post and frankly it must of changed ownership because the food was incredible the service was great. The taste of every dish I tried was not only authentic but made me want to try everything on the menu. If anyone had a bad experience I say go back try it again. Only one other Chinese restaurant I go to rivals this and their flavors are different maybe North vs. South.

The Chinese food is to die for!! The food is made fresh and melts in your mouth! Words cannot describe how good the food is. I was standing outside one day about to go into waba grill. I was starring at the menu wondering if the food was good and if it would hurt my stomach. This lady was sitting outside who said she goes there once a week and would not regret it. I said to myself heck let me give it a try. Now I go there once a week and my office loves it . Do not hesitate and just try it!! You will not regret it.

I had traveled from a very long distance, finished my business in the area, had a taste for Chinese, and was referred to this restaurant. They advertise being open until 8:30pm. It was currently 3:30pm, lights on, but the door was locked. An older woman sitting inside made a sign with her hands to signify the restaurant was closed. No reason. Nothing on the door. No other communication from the woman. Just closed. Strange way to do business.
