This is the worst “Chinese” restaurant ever. We went on 7/8/18. No bowls for the soup. Most everything on the buffet is spicy or hot. I asked the server/only employee if there was anything else they could bring out. She just stood there with a blank stare. Then finally said “what do you mean”. It took forever to get refills. There were 3 tables, us included. The food was anything but juicy and delicious. This was my birthday dinner, and I was extremely upset about it. We will not be returning.

Not as much selection as other Chinese buffets I’ve been to. There was no sweet and sour anything. Only one kind of fish entree and it was empty. The small sushi bar is nice but very sparse. I will say that it was very clean and I thought the service was pretty good.

Let me start off by saying the the food we were able to get was good. That’s where the goodness ended. Food trays on the buffet were not replenished during the time of our stay here. There were no soup bowls out, so how do you try the soup? Answer is, you don’t. And there never was any fried chicken brought out for the Cashew chicken. News flash, this is SW Missouri, it’s ALL ABOUT the Cashew chicken! I actually witnessed one of the staff walk by the buffet, and look at it as if to say “why haven’t you filled yourself up yet?” And speaking of the staff, In the 30 minutes that was spent there, the waiter didn’t do squat for us except take our dirty plates. Sorry, no tip for you. So to sum it up, lack of food options and the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant =we ain’t coming back!

Great service inexpensive hot food and almost everything was excellent. The shrimp. Is Jumbo cant beat that did i forget to mention it boiled not the typical cocktail. Thank you for the lovely young lady who had the awesome experience of having us as her first day. And although your tea isnt sweetened its brewed strong and has great flavor. Keep up the great work!!

The selection was very limited on 7/23/17. There was only one type of meat on the line. That was the fried chicken for the cashew chicken. The sauce was next to it. The cashew sauce was very runny and had no flavor. I have never been to a buffet that only offered one thing. The service was lacking as well. Waitress only came by 1 time during visit, and that was to take original drink order.

There is nothing wrong with this restaurant, though clearly they are sometimes frequented by people who think they know something they do not. Everything on the menu here is good (I am not a buffet person, so I can’t speak to the quality of the buffet other than to say there are more than 8 items). Try it and decide for yourself. Some people shouldn’t be trusted with public reviews because they aren’t capable of civility.

Back in the day when Bamboo Gardens was on the South side of loop in the small strip shopping area, they were better in quality and service. The crab ragoons had crab in them even if it could’ve been fake. Since moving to current location, and a year or so after the move, the quality of food decreased. A number of health code violations over the last 5 or so years, found in the Mt. Vernon paper ‘The Record’ has kept me and my family from eating there. In all fairness, we went to eat there about 3 weeks ago figuring it was worth another shot, it was not. Lunch buffet about 12:15 p.m. and roughly 8 others there to eat, none of which I recognized, the buffet didn’t have much selection. Tasteless and very forgettable. Long of the short of it, eat there at your own risk. Go to Panda House located close to the Mt. Vernon square or Happy House in Monett, MO.

I have to agree the service is excellent very friendly but all the food was old and dry so it’s not very tasty at all.

Absolutely one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten in. I arrived at 2:00 PM on a Sunday afternoon, and the woman at the register did not greet me or offer to seat me. The buffet was low on food, with several offerings missing or old. The cashew sauce was watery. There were no soup bowls. The salad bar was filthy and the ice cream machine was out of service. The restrooms were nasty with paper on the floor, and human waste in the toilet and urinal; in addition, the liquid hand soap had been heavily watered down. Before I left, the hostess and waitress began emptying money out of their pockets and counting it on the food bar, a blatant and disgusting violation of health code laws. Never again.

Food is old and just sitting around. Not even close to any Asian style foods displayed. It’s as if they get their food frozen and shipped for them to microwave and put out. Not even an Asian person in the place, so I’m assuming it’s a non Asian establishment cooking what they would perceive as Asian cuisine. On the upside, the staff is friendly and the place is clean and well decorated.
